Over the years, my painting immediately went through a long process of exploration. Mr. Xu Beihong's wife, Ms. Liao, once said to me, "Mr. Xu Beihong once said that drawing horses is an important and difficult topic in today's painting world, and it needs someone to study and develop it." Because pommel horse is regarded as an important theme in the traditional field of China, it should be said that the real freehand brushwork or freehand brushwork technique of pommel horse was initiated by Mr. Hong Bei, who initiated a generation of painting style. Since then, Liu Boshu, Yin Shoushi and other senior horse painters have basically developed on this basis. I painted horses from Xu Beihong and others, and experienced the process from imitation to sketching, and then groped for my own pen and ink language. During my stay in Europe, I began to try to draw nutrition from western painting and apply the artistic techniques and effects of western painting, such as light and shadow, color and composition. , to my painting horse, in order to enrich the relatively simple borrowing western painting mode before. After I went to teach at Shanda University, I integrated modern themes such as sports horse racing and equestrian club riders into my creation. Four years ago, recommended by the leaders of the Public Security Department, I went to Dalian Women's Mounted Police Force to collect wind and sketch, and Mounted Police also became my creative expression object. In short, I have been exploring and pursuing pen and ink, artistic conception, theme and form in my years of pommel horse creation practice. I hope to enrich the connotation of the traditional theme of pommel horse with the times. In the performance of contemporary art, it is constantly enriched, enriched and developed. In addition, some of my graduate students' works also participated in this exhibition, hoping to get everyone's criticism and witness.
