Hakka Nuo opera is rich in content and diverse in forms. Generally speaking, the content of the performance is "creating the world", "making a splash", "jumping over the third division", "worshiping the fourth division", "dancing five thunderbolts", "killing five thunderbolts" and "celebrating the harvest". Nuo opera performances usually start in the afternoon and end the next morning. The performance time of Pubei Nuo Opera is from the second day of August to the 20th of October. Lingtou Festival culture is mainly distributed in Pubei County, south to Anshi, Dacheng and Huang Zhang, west to Beitong and Baishishui, and north to Xiaojiang, Sanhe, Wang Fu and other towns where Hakka is popular. According to statistics, there are 19 Nuo opera troupes in Tiaolingtou county, with nearly 100 traditional programs with different styles and colorful performances. Lingtou Festival is celebrated from August to September in the lunar calendar every year. Festivals in different villages have different dates, but the contents are similar. Leaping over Lingtou lasts about two months every year, which is the longest festival in a year, so it is called "Lingtou Festival" by the people. The location of Tiaolingtou is generally on the hillside near the village, so it is also called "Tiaolingtou". Before the activity, everyone should go to the village temple in charge of the village to worship and perform. Some villages perform directly in the open space in front of the temple after offering sacrifices to the village temple, so it is also called "jumping the temple". Lingtou Festival is organized by the local NGO "Lingtou Team" (also known as the Bee Team) and presided over by the "foreman" (also known as the captain). The "Lingtou Team" usually has 22 to 30 people. Performers wear ancient costumes, hats and masks, and hold weapons and farm tools such as knives, axes, halberds, swords, sticks, hoes and shovels.
