Small Jiuzhaigou was discovered in Jiangsu. Even Shanghainese used to punch in, but now few people know.

Some time ago, I introduced Yangshan Mine in Suzhou, a small Jiuzhaigou. A friend said that Suzhou was first called Jiuzhaigou in a place in the western hills. Many Shanghainese used to punch cards, but few people knew about it in the past two years. After several searches, I finally found this place in Yuanshan Village, Xishan, Suzhou.

Yuanshan Village, perhaps even many people who have stayed in Suzhou for many years have never heard of this place. Located in the east of Xishan Island, Taihu Lake, Jinting Town, Wuzhong District, Suzhou City. The village is 3.88 square kilometers. Because it is adjacent to Yuanshan Mountain, it is called Yuanshan Village. Now there are three natural villages in Yuanshan Village, namely Yuanshan Village, Jincun Village and Lu Cun.

There used to be a Yuanshan Mountain near Yuanshan Village. Because limestone is everywhere, Yuanshan became the place where Suzhou excavated limestone. After decades of excavation, Yuanshan has long since disappeared, leaving only the Yuanshan mine we see now.

According to the information I checked, the location of Yuanshan Mine is a large quarry that started 60 years ago. In the long-term excavation process, the deepest part of the mine reaches about 100 meters. Such an area and depth are relatively rare mines in Suzhou. After I went there, I found that the lake in Yuanshan Mine was not as green as it was said on the Internet. It is estimated that the color will look better in summer. But when the drone took aerial photos, I found that the colors of the two mines were still relatively blue.

The best way to go to Yuanshan Mine is to drive or take a bus, directly navigate to the bus stop of Yuanshan Village parking lot, go straight to the end of the road in the parking lot, then turn left and walk to the nearby farmland, and you will see an artificial lake formed by the mine. There is a cliff on the left side of the mine. After climbing up, you can see two mines in Yuanshan. If viewed from high altitude, these two mines are like a pair of glasses on Taihu Lake, which is quite interesting.

Under the cliff between the two lakes, there is a clearing beside it. If you want to camp, you can camp here. Here are some ropes. I don't know who left them. Because of this cliff, many friends here call it Suzhou Grand Canyon. Although it is not as spectacular as the Grand Canyon in other places, it is a good place in Suzhou.

Although the Emerald Lake in Dayangshan was popular during this period, many people called it Jiuzhaigou in Suzhou, but what many people didn't know was that it was exactly two mines in Yuanshan that were first called Jiuzhaigou in Suzhou. Only in winter, the surface color of Yuanshan Mine is not as blue as that of Emerald Lake.

I have read some articles before, saying that there used to be swimmers swimming here. To be honest, I still don't recommend such behavior. After all, it's in the middle of nowhere. What if something happens? Moreover, after all, it is an artificial lake formed by mines, and it is still unknown whether the minerals in it are harmful to the human body. Besides, what if the children in Yuanshan Village saw it and secretly went swimming? Therefore, swimmers are not recommended to swim here.

I photographed Baima Mine in Anhui before. I thought there were fewer mines like Jiangsu, but after these days, I found that there are quite a few similar mines in Jiangsu, not only in Suzhou. In the past two days, a mine in Yixing has also exploded the circle of friends of Jiangsu people. We don't know how these mines will be used. The mine in Dayangshan, Suzhou, was finally closed because there were too many people punching in. After its initial popularity, Yuanshan Mine has gradually faded out of Suzhou people's circle of friends. The fate of Yixing network celebrity mine is unknown.

In fact, in China, mines are well developed in many places. One of the most classic is the Shenkeng Hotel in Shanghai, which used to be a quarry, but after development and utilization, it has become a well-known landmark building in Shanghai. In fact, in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, similar scenic spots are really rare, otherwise it is impossible for everyone to punch in as soon as they appear in online celebrities. I don't think it's necessary to enclose or bury it. It is a way of rational utilization.

Ok, that's enough about the two mines in Yuanshan. If you want to see more scenic spots of ethnic minorities, you are welcome to pay attention to go on road trip.
