China's 2 billion building is only two stories high. How is this unique building designed?

Since ancient times, houses have been built from the bottom up, but in China, there is a kind of house built from the top down. This is Shanghai Shimao Intercontinental Hotel. This hotel is located in the deep pit of tianmashan, Sheshan National Tourism Resort. From the ground, the whole building is only two stories high, not a tall building. But if you look closely, you will find that this tall building is only two stories above the horizon, but it is 65400 meters underground. Among them, there are two floors underwater, which is a unique hotel built in a pit at an altitude of -88 meters, and it has been dubbed "anti-human design" by foreign countries.

Why build such a hotel? In fact, what we are going to talk about is the origin of the deep pit. This is a famous abandoned pit in Shanghai, which is idle after industrial mining. So the person in charge of this hotel saw such a special geology and hoped to revitalize it. As a result, a five-star hotel with the lowest artificial altitude in the world was built here.

Then it is not easy to build such a hotel, because in special geology, there are many problems such as potholes, stagnant water, mud, earthquakes, safety, flood discharge and so on, so how to build it has become a difficult point. For this reason, the hotel hired Atkins team, the designer of Dubai Sailing Hotel, to design and construct jointly with China Construction Eighth Bureau. It took 7 years to design drawings and 5 years to construct, and finally completed this time-consuming 12 years.

I have to say that such a hotel is full of miracles, and its brilliance is really a lot. It was included in the CCTV documentary "The Builders of China", and the National Geographic Channel filmed the documentary "Journey to the Great Project in the World" for it. The Dubai Sailing Hotel was praised as "the top ten architectural wonders in the world". During the construction process, we obtained 4 1 patents, solved 5 groundbreaking problems, and attracted more than 400 overseas buildings. At the same time, there are 336 rooms here, which can make people enjoy the cliffs and waterfalls in the deep pit, and also have various high-end living facilities, which makes people stay in the magical nature, which is amazing.

Such a place, even now, is a myth in the history of human architecture, because it needs to overcome all kinds of harsh geological conditions, but it was finally built by us in China, which also profoundly reflects the current construction strength of our country.
