Five-star hotel rating criteria

At least 35 items are required.

1. The guest room can provide visual inquiry services such as bills through audio-visual equipment, and provide voicemail services.

2. The bathroom has a drinking water system.

3. The bathrooms of no less than 50 guest rooms are equipped with separate showers and bathtubs.

4. There are no less than 50 guest rooms with separate wet and dry areas (with separate dressing rooms).

5. All suites are equipped with separate bathrooms for the owner and visiting guests.

6. There is a business floor where check-in and check-out procedures can be completed. There is a business center and resting place for guests on the floor.

7. The guest rooms on the business floor have equipment for sending and receiving faxes or emails.

8. Provide free in-store wireless paging services to guests.

9. Expedited laundry service is provided 24 hours a day.

10. Entrusted agency service (golden key service).

11. Provide international Internet services with a transmission rate of not less than 64kbit/s.

Star hotels should have three types of pillows for guests to choose from, and there should be a public bathroom on the same floor in the front lobby.

Five-star hotels are rated by the National Tourism Star Hotel Rating Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "National Star Rating Committee") established by the National Tourism Administration in accordance with the "Tourist Hotel Star Rating Committee" "Classification and Assessment" (GB/T14308-2010) is responsible for assessment. As of February 2013, there were 758 five-star hotels in China.

Any tourist hotel that has been officially operating in the People's Republic of China for more than one year can apply for star rating. Hotels that are rated to meet the corresponding star standards will be issued corresponding star certificates and signs by the National Tourism Hotel Star Rating Agency. The star mark is valid for three years.
