What was the cause of the fire in Nanchang hotel?

At 8:22 on February 25, the Nanchang Fire Brigade received an alarm that a fire broke out on the second floor of the HNA Platinum Hotel at No. 348 Honggu Middle Avenue. The fire was caused by the decoration of Changtianxia KTV. In the morning, when workers were cutting the escalator, sparks flew and ignited the garbage and paper piled nearby, causing the fire.

The Nanchang Fire Brigade immediately dispatched 7 squadrons, 15 fire trucks, 1 smoke exhaust truck, 1 fire robot and more than 160 officers and soldiers to the scene for rescue.

As of 11:30, the open fire had been extinguished and more than 260 residents upstairs had been evacuated. In addition, trapped people in the hotel were rescued one after another, some of whom were in a coma. The medical staff on site immediately treated the fainting persons. Rescuers performed emergency oxygen administration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
