Humble Administrator's Garden

China's ancient famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, famous for its Jiangnan and Shengjia Wu Dong, is one of the four famous gardens in China and a classic in Suzhou gardens.

Humble Administrator's Garden is located in the northeast street of the northeast gate of Suzhou ancient city.

This garden covers an area of about 4. 1 hectare (excluding management and flower beds of about 0.67 hectares). In the fourth year of Ming Dynasty (AD 1509), it was founded by Wang. In the next 400 years, the vicissitudes of life changed dramatically, and the original seamless garden evolved into three separate gardens with their own patterns.

The east area is about 3 1 mu, and most of the existing scenery is newly built. The entrance of the garden is located at the southern end, passing through the porch, front yard, Lanxuetang, and then entering the garden. On the east side is a vast lawn, and on the west side of the lawn is a mound with a wooden pavilion, surrounded by running water and weeping willows on the shore, with rugged rocks, rugged peaks, waterside pavilions and curved bridges.

On the mound in the northwest, black pine is densely planted, Pterocarya stands in the forest, and the west of the forest is the fragrant pavilion (teahouse). Further west, there is a corridor facing the wall, a leaking window and some caves connected with the central area.

The central area is the essence of the whole park, with an area of about 18. 5 mu, of which the water surface accounts for 1/3.

The water surface is divided and combined, and the waterfront buildings have different shapes. There are many pavilions with uneven levels. The original incense hall, the main hall, is the place where the original garden owner gave a banquet and drank guests. The long windows on all sides are transparent and you can enjoy the scenery in the garden. There is a platform near the pool in the north of the hall, and you can enjoy the distant islands, mountains and pavilions across the water. There are Tan Xiao, Quqiao and Huangshi rockery on the south side; West winding corridor connecting Xiaocanglang Covered Bridge and Shui Yuan; The east longitude round hole gate enters the loquat garden, which is divided into several areas by Xuan code, surrounded by wavy cloud walls and cloisters, and plants loquat, begonia, bananas, bamboo and other flowers and trees. The architectural treatment and courtyard layout are very elegant and exquisite.

The west is about 12. 5 acres, the water surface twists and turns, and there is a big pool in the central area. The Yuanyang Hall on the south side of the building is the largest, with a square plane and four wing rooms. The hall is divided into north and south by partition and suspension. In the south, it is called "Eighteen Romance Flower Hall", and in the north, it is called "Thirty-six Yuanyang Hall". In summer, you can enjoy the lotus waterfowl in the north pond and the rockery and camellia in the south yard in winter.

There is a fan-shaped pavilion in the north of the pool-"Who sits on the porch with you", which is small and exquisite and unique in shape. There is an inverted photo studio in the northeast, and two pavilions in the southeast corner are opposite.

In the early Wang Humble Administrator's Garden, the humble administrator's garden was handed down from generation to generation, which completely outlined the landscape and style of the humble administrator's garden.

At that time, the park was about 13.4 hectares, which was relatively large. There are many gaps in the garden, with water in the middle, and the swamp becomes a pool. There are Fanhuawu, Yiyuxuan, Furong Hexuan, Threshold, Pool, Terrace, Dock and Stream, * * 3 1 view in total. The whole park is full of wild bamboo forests, mountains and rivers, close to natural scenery and full of rich natural wild interest.

More than one hundred and twenty years later, Ming Chong became the oriental garden in Xu Qiu in four years (A.D. 163 1). It belongs to Assistant Secretary Wang Xinyi. Wang Shan painted landscapes, carefully managed and arranged hills and valleys, and named the garden after Tao Qian's poem "Returning to the Countryside". There are Guangguan Pavilion, Jiaer Palace, whistle platform, Zitengwu, Xinghuaxi and Zhuxiang Gallery in the park.

It can be divided into four scenic spots. In the middle is Han Qingchi, in the north of which is the main Loulan School, surrounded by Guimei Bamboo Screen. There are Yunfeng and Lian Bi peaks in the south and left of the pool, and there are holes under the peaks, which are called "Small Taoyuan". Stepping into a hole is like fishing for a lang to enter a peach garden, but not for an adult.

To the west of Lanxuetang, the phoenix tree is jagged, the bamboo forest is trimmed in Maolin and surrounded by streams, which means running water. In the north are Ziluo Mountain and Yangdangchi. Dongfu is a lotus pond, covering an area of four or five acres, with Linxianglou in it. Growing crops at home is in sight.
