Plot summary: An American’s Tokyo Love Story

Bob Harris (played by Bill Murray) is a has-been TV star , he has been down and out for many years, and he was lucky enough to be accepted into a whiskey TV commercial recently. To shoot this commercial, he came to Tokyo. Charlotte (Scarlett Jonson) is the young wife of a photographer (Giovanni Ribisi). Her husband, who is busy with work, always ignores her, so she came to Tokyo to relax.

Charlotte and Harris checked into the same luxury hotel in Tokyo. One sleepless night, they accidentally walked into the hotel bar, and thus, two bored people met. They chatted while drinking.
