History of Zhenzhuang Hotel

Zhenzhuang Guest House in Yunnan was founded in 1936, formerly the residence of Mr. Long Yun, President of Yunnan Province during the Republic of China. The special historical background endows it with profound cultural background, and the natural and human landscapes in the museum complement each other and are unique in the center of Kunming. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, it has been an important government reception place in Yunnan Province.

The origin of the name "Zhen Zhuang": China officials pay attention to "stability", but Long Yun seems to do the opposite, naming private houses after the word "Zhen", which is very particular here.

This "earthquake" in Zhenzhuang cannot be explained literally, but is taken from the "earthquake divination" in the gossip. Longfu is located on the riverside of Panlong River, and the word "Linjiang" is the most favorable. Earthquake divination belongs to thunder, that is, dragon life.

It is said that from the air, the Zhenzhuang complex is a complete gossip model. The building is in a traditional quadrangle layout, and the Jinlou (Golden Building), Embroidery Building (Auditorium), Dry Building and Kunlou are randomly scattered, which has both the style of China classical gardens and the European architectural style. Therefore, this mansion was named "Zhenzhuang".

The Ganlou, the core building of Zhenzhuang, and the fountain in front of the Ganlou are typical French buildings, precisely the style of the late French Renaissance.
