How to understand the rigid scheme, rigid-elastic scheme and elastic scheme in the statics of building structures? Thank you very much for your advice.

Rigid scheme, rigid-elastic scheme and elastic scheme mainly refer to the division of spatial working performance of masonry structure. Rigid scheme means that the lateral stiffness of the building is large, and elastic scheme means that the lateral stiffness of the building is small and the rigid-elastic scheme is in the middle.

Different structural static calculation schemes will lead to different calculated heights of the wall (different calculated heights when the actual height of the wall is the same) and different bearing capacity of the wall. Generally speaking, buildings with dense load-bearing walls tend to be rigid, with large lateral stiffness, small horizontal displacement, small calculated height of walls and high bearing capacity of walls.

See Section 4.2 of Code for Design of Masonry Structures (GB50003-200 1)4.2+0 for the division and influence of rigid scheme, rigid-elastic scheme and elastic scheme.
