Brief introduction of Qiuhaijiao No.7

Cape Seven is a Taiwan Province provincial film in 2008 and the first feature film directed by Wei Desheng in Taiwan Province province. Singer Fan Yichen and Japanese model and actor Chie Tanaka performed on the same stage with many musicians, and the new generation singers Liang Wenyin and Kousuke Atari also performed in the film. Cape Seven was selected as the opening film of Taipei Film Festival in 2008, which is also the world premiere of Cape Seven. On August 22nd, 2008, the film was officially released in Taiwan Province Province, and it was first released in major cinemas in Taiwan Province Province on February 2nd, 2008.

In recent years, films in Taiwan Province Province have been in a long-term downturn, and it is difficult to raise funds. However, "Cape Seven" cost NT$ 50 million to shoot, which is one of the few big productions in Taiwan Province province in recent years. However, the film didn't spend a lot of money on publicity. In the early days, it was mostly promoted through BBS and blogs, which was regarded as a miracle of Taiwan Province provincial films [4]; Then the box office exceeded NT$ 50 million before it began to attract the attention of the news media, adding fuel to the fire. In 2008, 65438+February and 65438+February, the total box office of the first round of cinemas nationwide was 530 million yuan. The box office record in Taiwan Province film history is second only to the champion Titanic [5]; If it is ranked by the box office of Chinese films/Chinese films, Cape Seven ranks first.

In the first week of its release in Hong Kong, it was the first box office champion in Hong Kong, and the box office reached HK$ 7,665,438+0,000 by February 23rd, 2008 [6].

Cape Seven participated in the 45th Golden Horse Award, setting a new record for China films. Among the nine finalists, he won six awards, including Best Supporting Actor Ma Rulong, Best Original Film Music, Best Original Film Song "South of the Border", Fan Yichen Lead Singer, Taiwan Province Excellent Film of the Year, Best Film of the Year, and Best Filmmaker Wei Desheng, and was the biggest winner of the 45th Golden Horse Award.

With the end of 1945 World War II, the Japanese rule in Taiwan Province also ended. In February, 65438, a Japanese teacher wrote seven love letters to his Taiwan Province schoolgirl and lover, Duan Liyang Kojima, on the repatriation boat Takasha Maru. The envelope simply reads "Seven Cape Places in Hengchun County, Taiwan Province" and "Friends of the Island", but with the separation of the two places, another group of families became seven love letters that could not be sent.

More than 60 years later, Jia, who used to be the lead singer of Taipei Orchestra, rolled around 10 for many years and still achieved nothing. One morning, after smashing the electric guitar, she rode his old motorcycle with a lot of black smoke in frustration and returned to her hometown-Hengchun Town, the southernmost tip of Taiwan Province Province. Under the care and arrangement of the chairman of the town people's congress (Ajia's stepfather), she temporarily took over the job of Mao Bo, an old postman who could not work because of a car accident. However, Jia was indignant and looked down on everything around her. She didn't do her duty at all, and almost all the letters were taken home and shelved. One of the packages sent from Japan was sent to Cape No.7. Aga opened it curiously and saw seven letters from Japan. Unable to understand the contents, he put them in the corner of the room.

On the other hand, the local restaurant hired Japanese singer Kousuke Atari to perform, but it was banned by the President of the National Assembly because the local orchestra was not used. Finally, I was forced to invite Hengchun's local orchestra to warm up and perform two warm-up songs, but there was no local orchestra at all. A group of army of miscellaneous brands had to assemble a pre-heated rock band: Ma Lao Ajia, the lead singer of Taipei Frustrated Band, the guitarist of divorced aboriginal police, the precocious and eccentric keyboard player Dada, and the drummer apprentice Water Frog of motorcycle shop who likes his wife. The bass player even changed three times: Ma Lao, the old man who can't actually play the bass harmonica guitar, and Mao Bo, the old postman who is known as Qin Yue's "national treasure" but only entertains himself, finally changed.

In the process of practice, the whole team sometimes conflicts because of various factors, which seem hopeless: the lead singer of the band, the guitarist who wants to sing his own songs, the keyboard player who is too self-centered, the bass player who can't play bass at all … and the helpless Japanese female publicist. The team began to practice the first song written by A Jia a few years ago, and gradually became familiar, reconciled and cultivated tacit understanding in the process. However, despite this, the day of the concert is coming, but the second song is gone, and Jia is still unhappy; Tomoko resigned angrily, but was retained by Maobo's invitation. After holding a wedding banquet on the crazy roadside, Naoko Waichuan and Jia, who wanted to give up, suddenly had a one-night stand after drinking and telling each other their hearts. In Aga's room, Tomoko read seven letters Aga left in the corner. The Japanese teacher who wrote those letters has passed away, and his daughter found them and sent them to Taiwan Province Province. Tomoko read the strong thoughts in the letter and urged Aga to deliver the letter.

Although the one-night stand caused embarrassment, Jia cheered up and wrote a second song with the encouragement of Tomoko. At the same time, Tomoko confided her love for Ajia to her mother who was greatly abandoned by Japanese men, and mentioned seven unsent letters she saw when discussing the relationship between Taiwan and Japan. It turns out that the abandoned Duan Liyang Kojima is the grandmother of the great mother. At the prompt of her mother, Jia finally handed these seven letters to the recipients 60 years later, and rushed back in time before the concert was about to start.

Before the concert, Jia finally confessed her true feelings to Tomoko. The warm-up team completed the task and the performance was very popular. Tomoko wore aboriginal beads representing love in front of all the audience and accepted Jia's love. In Kousuke Atari and Aga's encore Wild Rose, the performance ended perfectly. At the same time, grandmother Tomoko Kojima caressed seven letters, recalling the scene of leaving the Japanese teacher in the last lyric of Wild Rose 60 years ago.

The narrative of the plot of the work ends here.

[edit] production

In mid-July, 2004, Taiwan Province media reported [7] that it took Ding Cangyuan, a postman working in Taixi Post Office in Yunlin County, two days to find the recipient of a letter with the old address "Haikou 145- 1 No, Huwei County, Tainan District, Taiwan Province Province", which became the inspiration for Wei Desheng's screenwriter. At the end of 2006, Wei Desheng gave a briefing on the counseling fund in the Information Bureau, and the evaluation of Cape No.7 passed with the highest score. Shooting started in Ximending, Taipei on September 30th, 2007, and ended in Hengchun on June 20th, 2007. In order to make many musicians have confidence in filming, first shoot a concert scene to grasp the feeling in front of the camera; The Ximending scene at the beginning of the film is the last scene taken back to Taipei after all the scenes of Hengchun.

When shooting in Hengchun in the south, it was attacked by Corroza, a strong station. The southwest airflow after the typhoon made it difficult to shoot on the beach stage outside Kenting Hotel, and finally it cleared up when shooting the concert scene.

The scene of the film hotel was shot in Kending Xiadu Hotel, and the scenes of Binglang Street and Market taken by the model were all shot in an underwater cabin in Fangliao Township, Pingtung County. Late at night after the wedding reception, this group of people filmed in broad daylight on the drunken coast, and then finished digital dimming. Tomoko greeted Kousuke Atari at the airport, and Tomoko bought colored beads for the band members. This scene was shot at Kaohsiung International Airport.

As for the visual effects, the small-scale model ship was originally used to take pictures of the ship "Gaoshamalu" sailing at sea. After careful calculation, I failed to take into account the continuous downhill wind in spring and summer, and returned to Taipei to shoot again. Finally, the model ship was not enough, so it was decided to combine CG production. Part of the dock was built in Taichung Old Winery (now Taiwan Province? Design and art exhibition center), the part of the ship was taken in the shed, and then the two pictures were combined into special effects. The scene of the ship leaving the port was refuted by the lack of funds, but the director insisted on completing it to reproduce the end of the war in 1945 [8]. The 500 extras who saw me off were temporarily transferred by residents near the old winery in Taichung, and the salary was 500 yuan plus lunch.

In terms of funds, "Cape Seven" sometimes faces the problem of stopping filming due to lack of funds. When Hengchun went to the location, there was a shortage of funds, leaving only 500,000 Taiwan dollars. Finally, he obtained a bank loan guaranteed by Director Wei Desheng [9]. Actors Li Peizhen and Zhang Jinyan also said that when shooting, the crew was seriously short of funds and could not even order drinks. Because there was no money to buy the video, they stopped filming [10]. The Xiadu Hotel, the location of the shooting, is only willing to provide three rooms for the cast members to stay every night. Director Wei Desheng assigned these three rooms to the most experienced actors: Ma Rulong Shaw, Kui Zhang and, foreign guests, and other cast members, including the director, the hero and heroine. During the filming period of more than one month, they lived in a humble homestay, and the daily rent did not exceed NT$ 500 yuan, and there were cockroaches, but the hard work of director Wei Desheng moved all the cast members and supported them to the end [1 1]. The production cost of Cape Seven is NT$ 50 million. Among them, 5 million yuan is the counseling fund of the Information Bureau [12], the filmmaker contributed150,000 yuan, and the director Wei Desheng himself raised 30 million yuan by mortgage [13].

According to the variety show "Variety Collection" hosted by Hugua and1Journey to the Cape of Hengchun 165438 broadcast on October 9, this episode interviewed Hengchun locals, and the name of the protagonist "A Jia" came from the nickname of the filmmaker's eldest son in reality; Director Hong He, the chairman of Hengchun Town People's Congress, is also drawn from the real person, namely the current generation of flood in Hengchun Town. [Editor] News events

In 2008, when Cape Seven was shown at Busan Film Festival, due to political pressure from Chinese mainland, Taiwan Province Province failed to send officials to attend the closing ceremony of the film festival [15].

Because Fenghua Records did not include all the soundtracks and songs in the film, it caused an uproar on Cape No.7 official website. Fenghua's so-called copyright reasons are accused of being untrue. The Cape No.7 official website was filled with angry messages, and the lyricist Yan Yunnong jumped out to expose the darkness. All the copyright owners of the unrecorded songs also officially denied that Fenghua had talked with him about copyright issues. Xiaoyan intervened in mediation, but there was still no result. Netizens initiated a boycott of the soundtrack.

Part of the soundtrack "Sounds like Music" released by Fenghua Records Company was directly extracted from the film, rather than re-recorded on the set, which made some fans think that the film company's intention to record this album is doubtful.

The antiques on the second floor displayed in the second half of the film are located at No.54 Zhongshan Road, directly opposite Manzhou Township Government. The house number is the grandmother's house of a female prosecutor in Taichung District Inspection Office, with a history of more than 80 years. The "Ajia House" in Hengchun Town is a two-story white hut in his fifties. The son of the owner Zhang Yongyuan is nicknamed Ajia. Chie Tanaka, a Japanese heroine, stayed at Xiadu Beach Hotel in Kenting, which has also become a tourist destination.

Chen Yunlin, president of the China Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, watched the film before the visit, but according to media reports, he said at the forum of six Taiwan-related departments held in Beijing on128 that the film involved the shadow of the popularization of the empire, and the China authorities decided not to "suspend the introduction" of the film on this ground [16]. However, this news has not been officially confirmed by China. According to another report, China believes that there are quite a lot of dialogues between Taiwan and Japan in the film, but because the producers did not make simplified subtitles in advance, it took time to reconfigure them, which led to scheduling conflicts and other problems. [17] On 2008 12, Yang Yi, a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office, publicly stated that Chen Yunlin's previous statement that the contents of Cape Seven involved the shadow of the empire was groundless, and China approved the release of Cape Seven on 2009 14 [18].

Whether Cape Seven has a "love for Japan complex" or a "political metaphor" is controversial [19], and similar debates on the Internet have also attracted a lot of attention. Professor Xu, who founded the Japan Institute in Taiwan Province Province, believes that Cape Seven is just a patchwork of American and Japanese "subcultures", lacking philosophical thoughts and world outlook, and hiding the shadow of Japanese colonial culture. Simomo, a famous mouth in Taiwan Province, described Cape No.7 as a "poisonous weed". However, Lin Quanzhong, a professor from China who lives in Taiwan Province Province, disagrees with this view. He calls for a moderate understanding of Cape No.7 and an interpretation of its phenomenon and significance from different perspectives in Taiwan Province and Hongkong [20] [2 1].

On February 14, 2009 (Valentine's Day), Cape Seven was released in China.
