Cangdong hotel

As the third largest city in Tibet, Changdu, located in the east of Tibet, always gives people a low-key feeling. It is neither as charming as Lhasa nor as famous as Shigatse.

Including myself, it's my eighth trip to Tibet before I went to Qamdo for the first time. It looks incredible. In the memory of my first seven trips to Tibet, Qamdo was almost blank.

Located in the mountainous area, Changdu City is known as "Little Chongqing in the West" and is the third largest city in Tibet. It is called the gateway to Tibet from Sichuan and Yunnan.

The city center is very prosperous. Hotels, restaurants, tea shops, bakeries, teahouses, shopping malls, supermarkets and real estate are all full of modernization, which is not much different from mainland cities. It can be seen that the development here is rapid, the living standard is high and the people's happiness index is high.

However, no matter how fast the city develops and how modern the urban construction is, the local people still adhere to the ancient and traditional way of life. For example, sitting in the square, basking in the sun, while turning the beads in your hand. Calm and elegant, slow pace.

Suddenly, I seem to see the familiar picture and walk into the familiar world.

The beauty of Tibet is not known until you have been there; Tibet's splendid history and civilization can only be understood if you go in. When I entered Tibet for the eighth time, this ancient and magical land was eager to show what is beautiful and what is magical again.

The legendary Qamdo, Zhuo Zhuo Kangba!

I was deeply attracted when I first entered Qamdo. Under the background of instruments at the foot of the most famous mountain in eastern Tibet, the trip to Qamdo is destined to be unforgettable, filling all the gaps in previous trips to Tibet.

Qamdo was called "Chamudo" and "Chamudo" in ancient times, which means the place where rivers meet in Tibetan. It is located in the Hengduan mountain area where Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nujiang River flow side by side in eastern Tibet.

It faces Sichuan Province across the river in the east, borders Myanmar and Yunnan in the southeast, and borders Qinghai Province in the north. This is the only place where Sichuan-Tibet Highway and Yunnan-Tibet Highway pass, and it is also the crossroads of the "Tea-Horse Ancient Road". Covering an area of 108700 square kilometers, it is the place where the first five-star red flag in Tibet rises.

Undoubtedly, Qamdo is an important tourist port in Tibet, the first stop after Sichuan and Yunnan entered Tibet, and an important area of "Shangri-La Tourist Area in China".

The history of Qamdo can be traced back to the Neolithic Age. The excavation of Karuo site proves that Qamdo is one of the birthplaces of the most primitive Tibetan culture, and it also shows that Qamdo has been the heart of Kangba culture since ancient times and the center of ancient Tibetan civilization.

During the Tubo period, Changdu area was the location of the famous "East Daughter Country" and Supi Kingdom. Among them, the oriental girl country is centered on women, and its social system is the worship of women.

The king of Dongnvguo is a woman, and her husband is also a king, but he is not in power and only responsible for foreign wars. Ministers are all women, and men can only perform military service. According to records, during the period of the Eastern Women's Kingdom, there was a developed civilization in Qamdo and Tibetan areas in northwest Sichuan.

Another Supi country is also a "daughter country" that worships women and a matriarchal society. Some people call this kingdom "the country of daughters". Like the Oriental Daughter Country, Supi Country is also a country where women are internal affairs and men are foreign affairs.

In today's Qamdo area, we can still see the traces of the culture of Dongnvguo and Supi. In addition to the prosperity of women's culture, the ancient road civilization in Qamdo area is also very splendid.

The famous traffic avenue between the Tang Dynasty and Tubo-the Tang-Tubo ancient road, also passes through Changdu, climbs mountains and winds to Lhasa. This makes Qamdo the only way for the Central Plains to travel between Qinghai, the hinterland of Tibet, Nepal, India and other countries since the Tang Dynasty.

In addition, another ancient road flowing from south to north between mountains and deep valleys in Hengduan Mountain area is also very prosperous.

There is the Silk Road in the north and the ancient tea-horse road in the south. The ancient tea-horse road originated from the "tea-horse exchange" in the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are three main routes along the ancient tea-horse road: Qinghai-Tibet line (ancient Tang-Fan road), Yunnan-Tibet line and Sichuan-Tibet line.

These three lines are inseparable from Qamdo. Among them, Yunnan-Tibet line and Sichuan-Tibet line must pass through Changdu, and their development is closely related to tea-horse trade. So prosperous, go back to history. Listen to the camel bell left behind, it was a prosperous trade and cultural exchange a hundred years ago.

There are thick and distant ancient tea-horse roads and a long history of ancient Yantian.

Millennium Yantian, located in Yanjing Town, Mangkang County, is the only place in the world where the most complete and original manual salt drying method is preserved. It has a history of 1300 years, dating back to the Tang Dynasty.

With the prosperity and development of the ancient tea-horse road, the salt in Yanjing was also transported to various places, becoming the most famous salt-producing resort in the whole Tibetan area at that time.

Although the ancient tea-horse road has been submerged in the long river of history, the asphalt roads and cars in the new era have written a new chapter in the history of the "ancient tea-horse road" and opened up more little-known historical culture and scenery in Qamdo.

Superior geographical location, ancient splendid civilization, magical female worship ... All kinds of legends in Qamdo are actually Zhuo Zhuo Kangba. It is worthy of being called "the East Gate of Tibet", "the Heart of Kangba" and "the Pearl of Tibet".

At the same time, the natural scenery in Qamdo area is also quite charming.

The majestic atmosphere at the source of the Three Rivers, the graceful scenery of Ranwu Lake, the crystal clear of ancient glaciers, the graceful peaks of Meili Snow Mountain, the majestic beauty of Hongla Mountain, the steep rise of Zizhu Mountain and the beautiful legend of Tricolor Lake all vividly interpret the legendary customs of eastern Tibet.

Influenced by the north-south parallel canyons, middle and low latitudes and other factors, Qamdo is not as bare as Shigatse, nor as barren as Ali.

There are many virgin forests and grasslands in Qamdo, and there are many rare birds and animals in Hengduan Mountain area, accounting for about 80% of the wild animals in Tibet. Some experts call Hengduan Mountain Area in Changdu one of the world's animal distribution centers.

So prosperous and legendary, let's enjoy the legendary amorous feelings of Zhuo Zhuo Kangba.
