What was the darkest overtime experience like?

The most confusing overtime experience is working overtime for a month on a project, with all kinds of black and white reversed, chaotic work and rest, and non-stop sleep.

I remember that the company took over a large-scale press conference project. There was plenty of time to prepare, but the team that took over the project gave up the project. With one month left, the project was left to our team, so we had this dark overtime experience.

In the beginning, working overtime was relatively normal. It only lasted until about 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. At least I could go home and sleep.

After a week, working overtime became day and night. Customers usually come to the company for a project promotion meeting at 8 pm, and any changes and modifications must be submitted by 9 am the next morning. We started working overtime all night. After submitting the application at 9 a.m., we went home to sleep, and then returned to the company at 3 p.m.

Another 10 days passed and the situation changed again. As the project time approaches, feedback on various information becomes more and more frequent, and there are more and more places for adjustments. In order to ensure that someone would deal with the problem as soon as possible, the company directly opened three rooms in the express hotel downstairs. We checked into the hotel without distinguishing between right and wrong. Whoever finished the work would go to bed. When something happened, we would get up and go back to the company to continue working.

In the final week of the project, no one was occupying the hotel room. We were so busy that we didn’t even have time to go downstairs and mess around. We just took the time to lie down at the desk for a while.

In the two days before the project was implemented, we stayed awake and didn't sleep for almost 48 hours. The only time I remember squinting was on the day of the project, on the way to the venue in the car.

In the end, the project was very successful, and we finally got through the dark days.

Afterwards, basically everyone rested at home for a week before recovering from the exhaustion of overtime work.
