Where does "unfinished business in the world, why not let nature take its course" come from?
Its background story is: Buddha said to me: You have dust in your heart, so I will wipe it hard. Buddha said: You are wrong. Dust can't be wiped off. So I stripped my heart.
The Buddha added: You are wrong again. Dust is not dust. How can there be dust that I can't understand? What do you mean? I think it comes from Shen Xiu and Huineng's two sons.
Shen Xiu said, "As a bodhi tree, my heart is like a mirror. Always wipe, don't get dust. " Huineng said, "Bodhi has no trees, and the mirror is not a stage. There is nothing, so there is no dust. " Indeed, it is really difficult to understand these two sons, and even a correct understanding is not easy.
Being a bodhi tree is like a mirror. Wipe regularly to avoid dust. The body of all beings is the tree of enlightenment and wisdom, and the heart of all beings is like a bright stage mirror.
Always try to brush it, and don't let it be polluted by dust and dirt, which blocks the bright nature. Bodhi has no trees, and the mirror is not a stage. There was nothing, so there was no dust.

Bodhi without trees (one of the four sentences of master Huineng, the sixth ancestor)
Bodhi Without Trees is one of the four famous sentences of Master Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism in China. It is intended to show that all promising things are like bubbles of dreams, and teach people not to be delusional and persistent, so as to see the essence clearly and prove Bodhi.
Origin: As for the origin of this poem, it is clearly recorded in the fourth to eighth sections of the Tanjing: Hongren, the fifth ancestor, "called all the people in one day" and asked everyone to "write a poem". He also said, "If you get the gist", that is, "Fu Yi is as good as the law, which is an important thing for six generations."
Shen Xiu, the last disciple of Hong Ren, wrote a poem in front of the door: "I am a bodhi tree, and my heart is like a mirror platform. Wipe it frequently to make it dust-free. " When Hong Ren learned of this, he "summoned the abbot" and said that "if you do this, you won't be in front of you" and "if you find the supreme bodhi, you won't be there", so he asked him to "write another poem".
And "it's impossible to show off for a few days." Huineng's poems are directed at Shen Xiu's Five Fragrant Books. According to the altar sutra, Huineng couldn't read, so she first "asked someone to read" the beautiful melody, and then wrote this song "asked a scholar to write it at the Western Wall".
