Entering Albania

01.

On October 4, 2019, we arrived in Albania from Macedonia along the highway to Lake Ohrid.

Lake Ohrid is located on the border between Albania and Macedonia, with 1/3 in Albania and 2/3 in Macedonia.

The lake is 30 kilometers long, 12 kilometers wide, covers an area of ??365 square kilometers, and has an altitude of 695 meters. It is a mountaintop lake with steep shores.

Tonight we will stay in a camp on the edge of Lake Ohrid in Albania. When checking in, I asked the boss how much it would cost for four people to stay in a car for one night. The boss said 7 euros. I didn't believe my ears. I thought I heard wrong. I asked again and the boss confirmed it was 7 euros again. The campground not only provides parking and accommodation, but also provides coffee drinking. There is another table of guests eating in the dining room.

Four people and a car can stay here for one night, including water and electricity. The price is 7 euros, which is equivalent to about 50 yuan, which is so cheap. It is true that Albania has the lowest consumption in Europe.

02.

The next day, after walking on the highway for a while from the camp, I pressed the navigation button and walked on the winding mountain road. The phone displayed Greece for a while and Albania for a while. This road is on the border between the two countries.

It took 5 hours to drive 138 kilometers, which shows the difference in road conditions. In the afternoon, we stayed in a small town on the border between Albania and Greece.

Albania is located on the west coast of the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. It borders Serbia and Montenegro (Yugoslavia) to the north, Macedonia to the northeast, Greece to the southeast, the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea to the west, and faces Italy across the Strait of Otranto. The coastline is 472 kilometers long. Mountains and hills account for 3/4 of the country's area, and the western coast is plain. It has a subtropical Mediterranean climate

The country is mountainous, with 80% of the country being mountainous. It is the country with the most mountains among Eastern European countries. The average height is more than 714 meters above sea level, which is more than twice the average height of Europe. The peaks of the Alps in the north exceed 2,500 meters, the Kruja Mountains and Skanderbeg Mountains in the center are more than 2,200 meters high, and the Tomor Mountains in the south are 2,400 meters high.

The southern mountainous area we walked today.

03. Sarandha

After two days of climbing the mountains, we finally reached Sarandha. Although the walk was very hard, it was worth it the moment I set foot on the land of Saranda.

The Sarand? region is located on the Ionian coast at the end of Anand, with a Mediterranean climate. It is dotted with world-famous historical sites and has a strong Mediterranean style, with blue water and clear sky. With its undulating architecture, it is one of the most famous tourist resorts in Afghanistan.

Today I went to experience the sea view hotel here. It cost about 40 euros. It was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was not bad. The RV is parked in front of the hotel, and you can reach the beach in just a few steps. There are many small fish in the clear water and the locals can catch fish by attaching lures with nylon thread. Because there are not many tourists, they are mostly tourists from several surrounding Eastern European countries, and the original ecology is still maintained here!

The next day we drove 20 kilometers south along the coastline. The sea view here was breathtaking! The sand is whiter and finer, and the water shows various shades of blue from shallow to deep!

When we arrived at the bathing beach, the campground conditions were complete, and the price of 1,800 Arab coins (RMB 100 yuan) for a car with four people was so affordable!

Stop to refresh, swim, and sunbathe. Throw the fatigue of the journey into the Adriatic Sea.
