Why has Liupanshui "coal capital" become "cool capital" (beautiful China)?

Liupanshui was once known as the "coal capital", and its gloomy color left a deep impression on people's hearts. But now, when you walk into Hu Ming Wetland Park, Lake Scenic Area, Wild Fish Sea International Mountain Resort and other scenic spots, you will have a brand-new impression on this city.

In fact, Liupanshui's cool and comfortable climate, beautiful natural scenery and unique cultural landscape, like magnets, attract more and more tourists.

1, gorgeous transformation of "coal capital"

When it was hot in many parts of the country, I came to Liupanshui from hot Beijing and felt cool. An early autumn rain is like dew, nourishing the land after a long drought. Everyone immediately put on autumn clothes to resist the cool chill.

Local people say that Liupanshui has no "summer" in the climatological sense. The hottest average temperature in July is 19.7℃, and the number of cool and comfortable days exceeds 200 days.

In 2005, Liupanshui was awarded the title of "China Liangdu" by China Meteorological Society for its coolness, comfort, humidity, freshness and moderate ultraviolet rays, and became the first city named after climate resources in China, a veritable summer resort and paradise.

Before Liupanshui was named "Du Liang", "Coal Capital" was always a local "label". Liupanshui, as an important energy and raw material base in Guizhou and even the southwest, is one of the 63 coal cities in China, and its industrial economy accounts for half of the city's economy.

For many years, Liupanshui has been pursuing the development model of "eating coal and reading coal classics". The requirements of the times to achieve sustainable development have prompted "Coal Capital" to explore a road of transformation that attaches importance to the ecological environment.

The environment used to be the shortcoming of Liupanshui. I was interviewed in Liupanshui a few years ago, so I can't wear white clothes. In less than a day, it will definitely turn black.

After several years of pollution control and ecological construction, the forest coverage rate of Liupanshui reached 39%, and the excellent rate of urban air quality reached 100%.

The city has invested a total of 24.9 billion yuan to comprehensively build and transform infrastructure such as transportation, greening, lighting, water system, star-rated hotels, cultural and sports facilities, urban pipe network, public toilets and bus stops, and finally realized the transformation from a "stupid" resource-based city to a leisure and holiday tourist city.

Today's Liupanshui, the whole city is like a scenic spot. It is a big park with "the mountains are in the trees, the trees are in the city, and the city is in the scenery".
