Zhongcheng Automobile Insurance Co., Ltd. (under preparation) was approved by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission on July 14, 2010. It was led by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as GAC Group) and Guangdong Yuecai Trust Co., Ltd. , Guangdong Yueke Venture Capital Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Changlong Hotel Co., Ltd. and other sponsors applied to establish the insurance company. It is the first Chinese-funded insurance company with its headquarters settled in Guangzhou.

The shareholders of Zhongcheng Automobile Insurance Co., Ltd. (financing) are strong. Among them, GAC Group, as a large domestic automobile company, owns GAC Passenger Cars, GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, Honda (China), GAC Bus, GAC Hino, GAC Changfeng, GAC Fiat, GAC Parts, GAC Toyota Engine, GAC Trading , Guangai Insurance Brokers, GAC Huili Auto Finance, Tongfang Global, Zhonglong Investment, GAC Automotive Research Institute and other dozens of well-known companies.
