On the morning of the fifth day, visit Madaba, which is the city with the largest variety of mosaic products in the world and enjoys the reputation of "City of Mosaics". The most famous ones are the mosaics from the Byzantine and Umayyad periods. Most of the mosaics are 1,400 years old. The performance content is rich, including flower islands, fish, insects, birds and beasts, as well as mythological storylines and daily life scenes.

The tour guide said that the reason why local mosaics are famous is that the materials of their mosaics are all primary-colored stones, unlike our usual mosaics that use industrial ceramics and other machine-made materials.

Then proceed to Mount Nebo. Mount Nebo is the legendary place where Moses ascended to heaven and is one of the most awe-worthy holy places in Jordan. The current main church building on the mountain dates from the early fourth century AD. The church floor is inlaid with patterns of hunting, livestock farming, and various birds and animals. It is a typical Byzantine mosaic painting. It is an important relic of Christianity and Judaism.

Arrive at the Dead Sea around 4 p.m. and check into a five-star hotel with an outdoor swimming pool and beach.

The Dead Sea is actually an inland salt lake with a salt content 10 times that of ordinary seawater. Even people who are not good at swimming can swim freely on the water. I originally thought that the Dead Sea might be like a small lake, but it must be a pool of stagnant water with an extremely fishy odor. But in fact it is almost like a wide sea, and there are relatively large waves on the beach. When I went into the water, I found it difficult to resist the impact of the tide!

Although the sea water is so salty that it stings the eyes, it does not smell fishy. The buoyancy of sea water is indeed very strong. When a person lies on the water surface and does not move, he can easily expose his limbs and head to the sea surface at the same time.
