Shaoxing built a nonexistent ancient town and staged the true story of Kong Yiji and Sister Xianglin.

In Shaoxing, you can't avoid Lu Xun anyway.

The old houses with white walls, fennel beans everywhere, and Kong Yiji restaurant on the street make this Jiangnan water town full of humanistic atmosphere.

Many people know Shaoxing from Lu Xun's works, and Shaoxing will naturally not miss this opportunity to develop tourism. When I was a child, I often saw a Lu town when I read Lu Xun's articles. Kong Yiji mentioned that "the hotel pattern in Luzhen is different from other places".

However, if you look at the history of Shaoxing, you can't find this ancient town. Lu Xun combined his childhood memories of his hometown with Shaoxing water town to create this place full of Jiangnan flavor, while Shaoxing turned this fantasy into reality. So Mr. Liu's characters are vividly displayed in front of tourists.

Luzhen is located in Ke Yan Scenic Area, and needs to enter from the sparkling lake by boat. In ancient times, Ke Yan Scenic Area was a famous quarry. The whole mountain has been hollowed out, leaving only strange cliffs. To enter Luzhen, you need to take the road of trackers, which is the stone road used by ancient trackers to pull boats. With bare arms and bare feet, they arched up and took away the boat full of stones.

Luzhen is beautiful, with small bridges and flowing water, green trees and old houses, and faded white walls revealing the imprint of the times, thus presenting a virtual ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River.

The most eye-catching building in the town is a double-sided stage. This is an extremely grand stage, with multiple overhangs, scarlet atmosphere and red lanterns hanging high, shining under the blue sky and white clouds.

The words "natural picture scroll" are written on the stage, and a dancer is singing softly on the stage. She sang a social drama written by Lu Xun. At this time, it was raining in Mao Mao, and many people were sitting on stools listening. I didn't understand Shaoxing dialect, so I turned and left to continue my visit.

Straight into the "Madman's Home", based on Mr. Wang's Diary of a Madman. I vaguely remember the shock of reading Diary of a Madman when I was a child, and the suspicion and ugliness of human nature made me afraid to turn over the books several times.

There is a group of statues in front of the madman's house. A housekeeper-looking man is beating a worker with a whip. The workers are all coy and miserable, and there is a child sitting on the ground next to them, at a loss.

There are crazy mansions, and naturally there are Xianheng hotels. Kong Yiji drinks and eats beans here, and plays an ironic story. In front of the hotel, there is a couplet: the shop is famous and the old wine is intoxicating. "Kong Yiji" stood in front of the store, holding a dish in one hand and fennel beans in the other, as if to say "too much, not too much".

Strolling through Luzhen, tea and lacquer shops, money houses and pawn shops that disappeared in the long river of history reappeared one by one. Interestingly, Luzhen also created live-action performances such as Ah Q, Sister Xianglin, Fake Foreign Devil and Master Lu. These characters and embarrassing stories I read when I was a child are really staged in front of your eyes.

With a long braid and a black felt hat, Ah Q said in a resentful tone, "Mom's son beat Lao Zi"; Kong Yiji looked sad, still with the style of a scholar, and stood in front of the counter for several oceans; Sister Xianglin, with an indifferent face, said to herself flatly, "I only know that wild animals will come to the village on snowy days, but I didn't expect spring."

Lu Zhen's restoration of the details is admirable, not to mention the actors' realistic costumes, and even the temple in Kong Yiji that climbed over the wall to steal vegetables was built by him.

This retreat is simple and quiet, guarding a yard and seems to be waiting for something. In the novel, Ah Q was so hungry that he climbed into the vegetable garden to steal radishes, while the nuns in seclusion had no choice but to stand in the wall and curse clumsily.

The performance time of these miscellaneous stories is fixed every day. If you want to read it all, you need to make a good plan.

Luzhen is special to Shaoxing, but illusory to tourists. If you studied Jiangnan Water Town in Shaoxing, you may have studied the whole feudal China in Luzhen.
