Northern Europe is mostly a highly civilized country. Why are there so few people traveling to Northern Europe?

One is cold, the other is biased, and the third is expensive.

Nordic Europe includes the five countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark. It borders the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Arctic Ocean to the north. The population density is low, but the economic competitiveness is world-leading.

Speaking of cold, Northern Europe may be the impression that most people have. However, most of Northern Europe still has a temperate continental climate, while Iceland and northern Norway have a cold zone climate. Summers here are short and winters are long. The climate in general (especially in residential areas) is not as harsh as imagined.

The average summer temperature in most cities in Northern Europe is 15℃-20℃, which is very comfortable. The temperature in winter is usually only a few degrees below zero, which is much better than in Siberia where the temperature is often minus 40 degrees. For places like Iceland, which is located on the edge of the Arctic Circle, the temperature is not very low due to the influence of the North Atlantic warm current. It's just that it's prone to hail and strong winds, and the wind is strong and can easily take away body heat, so the body temperature is lower.

As for the deviation, it is because it is too far north. While most of us still prefer to travel to livelier places, the charm of Northern Europe has slightly declined. Some travelers say that the feeling of being deserted is unbearable and that they feel too lonely and desolate.

In addition, due to the sparse population, the public transportation level in some niche places is average, and most of them rely on self-driving, which is not convenient. Big cities are fine, but public transportation in places like Iceland and Norway has very few frequencies.

The last reason is probably also the most critical, and that is the high level of consumption. The average per person per visit is basically more than 20,000 yuan. In addition to round-trip air tickets, local accommodation prices are also not low. Cheaper ones cost one to two hundred a night, like youth hostels. If you stay in a three-star hotel, it usually costs six to seven hundred. And food in Northern Europe is not cheap. A casual meal can cost over a hundred yuan per person, while a more formal meal costs two to three hundred yuan, which is too cruel for foodies. If you want to save money, you can only cook by yourself, but I guess it will be troublesome.

However, although it is expensive, the scenery in Northern Europe is indeed worth seeing, especially the aurora, which I feel is the most attractive. In recent years, the number of tourists traveling to Northern Europe in our country has gradually increased, and the business cards of Northern Europe have also traveled farther and farther.
