Fans for hotels in Malaysia. Do you know why?

Generally, economical hotels or homestays will use fans, and more expensive hotels will install air conditioners.

Because it is hot in summer all year round, every household will have a fan or air conditioner. My home has both air conditioner and fan.

Probably only Cameron's hotel has no air conditioning and fans, because it is located in a high mountain and the temperature is low (more than ten degrees).
