Beijing Midi Music School is the first modern music school in China approved by Haidian District Education Committee. As early as 1993 was founded, it established a distinct purpose of running a school: spreading artistic and humanistic modern music theory, and educating and popularizing exquisite modern music deduction techniques.

Modern music includes blues, jazz, rock, pop, Latin, country, funk, fusion and other music types developed from the beginning of the last century, as well as various styles of music derived from it.
