How to connect the wires in three hole socket?

(1) In the power supply system with ungrounded neutral point, protective grounding must be carried out, while in the system with ungrounded neutral point, the equipment shell can be connected with zero protection. But these two protection methods are not allowed to be used at the same time in low-voltage power grid.

(2) Using protective grounding has the following characteristics: ① If the insulation of electrical equipment using protective grounding is damaged, the short-circuit current between "phase" and "zero" will be much larger than that using protective grounding, so that the fuse or automatic air switch will be activated in a short time and the power supply will be cut off quickly; (2) Because the zero line and the phase line are generally laid in parallel, it is safe and convenient to connect the zero line for protection.

(3) When single-phase socket is used for protection and zero connection. Single-phase three hole socket right jack is connected to the phase line, the left jack is connected to the zero line, and the upper jack (larger than the other two jacks in aperture ratio) is connected to the protective zero line. But this zero line must be connected to the zero line main line, not between the terminal of the left jack and the zero line main line. In this way, once the neutral wire is disconnected, as shown in Figure 3, the voltage of the phase wire will be led to the left jack of the working neutral wire through the electrical equipment, and then transmitted to the equipment shell through the connecting wire, which will make people touching the equipment shell get an electric shock.
