Two-day tour from Lanzhou to Liujiaxia

Day 1: Lanzhou-Bingling Temple-Taiji Island

At 7: 30 in the morning, take a bus to Liujiaxia (80KM, about 1.5-2 hours). Liujiaxia is located near the beautiful Taiji Lake, with pleasant climate and beautiful scenery. Visit Liujiaxia Reservoir in Pinghu, Gaoxia, and you can watch the spectacular westward flow of the Yellow River. Then take a boat trip (about 3-4 hours one way) to visit Bingling Temple, a cave temple famous for its stone carving art in the Northern Wei Dynasty (about 1 hour), then take a boat trip back to Liujiaxia Dam, take a bus to Yongjing County for dinner, and then stay at Taiji Island Hotel. You can also attend bonfire parties, taste delicious roast whole sheep with local characteristics and enjoy Tibetan songs and dances.

The second day: Taiji Island-Lanzhou

After breakfast, take a boat to Taiji Bird Island, the only wetland nature reserve in Gansu. From a distance, you can see the unique Danxia landforms Bijia Mountain and Luxiang Mountain on the Loess Plateau, Niubi Gorge with vivid shapes, and Jingui Mountain, the lifelike mother and son turtle king. This is the white mud head of Hongshan, and the Yellow River flows west. Experience the beautiful artistic conception of "two orioles singing green willows and a row of egrets flying to the sky" and "the canoe has crossed Chung Shan Man". After lunch, you can taste local peasant food, fish in the beautiful Taiji Lake, or play poker in casual games. In the afternoon, you can pick strawberries (strawberries per catty 18 yuan), and then return to Lanzhou by bus to end your pleasant and unforgettable trip.
