The Innocence Museum Brief Introduction of Innocence Museum
This is a museum with pure colors. If you read the beginning of the Innocence Museum, you will definitely think so.
It's a pity that, just like Norwegian Forest, Museum of Innocence suddenly grabbed the reader's throat after describing a lot of sex. And I, like the dying man, began to grieve without fear.
Although some people have been preventing me from reading it as a love novel, I can't ignore the author's description and record of Istanbul's culture, architecture and social customs from 65438 to 80' s in 2009. But I'm sorry, if it wasn't a love novel, I would think it was a blasphemy against this book.
Istanbul 1975. The protagonist of the story, the man named Kemal, a 30-year-old rich young master, has an engagement, and the woman is a distant poor relative of the young master,/kloc-a pure and beautiful girl of 0/8 years old.
Like most love stories, their love in the Innocence Museum began with a beautiful encounter-Kemal went to a boutique to buy a designer bag for his fiancee Sybil, but unexpectedly met a beautiful girl Fu Song whom he had not seen for years.
No one knows, the story has already begun. "I saw my ghost coming out of my body and kissing Fu Song in a corner of heaven." When Kemal saw Song Fu, he couldn't help but have this idea.
When Fusong asked Kemal to make a final choice between her and her fiancee, Kemal chose to complete the engagement as scheduled. Although to outsiders, the engagement ceremony was perfect to the extreme, but he lost his mind and had to pay attention to Fu Song's every move as a relative.
Therefore, the unbearable Fu Song left without saying goodbye. At this time, Kemal began to slowly peel off the desire to cover his soul and gradually face up to his inner feelings.
He asked himself whether his feelings for Fu Song were a whim or a long-term attachment from the heart-whether he loved Song Fuman's wonderful body more or the soul behind him;
What he faced was Sybil, who was engaged to him in full view and knew nothing from beginning to end-whether to choose a happy life according to the wishes of most people, or to listen to his inner call and give up his engagement;
He transcended all kinds of secular laws and class differences in love-whether to remain a respected family figure or to pursue Fu Song at the expense of being laughed at.
All choices are two sides of the same coin-lose this and have that.
Finally, after a lapse of 339 days, Kemal found Fu Song. At this time, Fu Song is a wife, married to her childhood neighbor, Filton, a screenwriter with a movie dream.
Their meeting was specially arranged by Fu Song's family. The family hoped that Kemal would make Fusong a movie star because Fusong was willing to pay to make a movie for felton. In other words, Kemal is only regarded as a rich relative.
Kemal gave money, but he didn't let Fusong make a movie.
Many things happen. Eight years later, Kemal finally got the news of felton and Fusong's divorce. Kemal Ataturk and Fusong meet again, and finally wait for the moment to blend again in the hotel room: in sweat, screaming and joy, they seem to have "come to an end".
However, when the world is only one step away from beauty, it has taken a sharp turn! Fu Song, who just learned to drive, drove back to the hotel and died in a car accident, in order to find the earrings that are of great significance to Fu Song.
Since then, Kemal's yearning for Fu Song has gradually become "a fantasy related to the past and memories". The pain of memory is that it has been made clear that all memories can only be memories after all, purely "self-pity."
In order to recall, Kemal gradually came up with the idea of building a "museum of innocence". It took him fifteen years to visit 1743 museums and build a unique "Innocence Museum", which contained all the objects that witnessed his love story with Fu Song.
Whether as a permanent mourning for the lost love, or as a "response, comfort or even medicine to some pains, troubles and dark motives in life", these objects are warming Kemal's heart.
Salt bottles, puppy ornaments, thimbles, pens, hairpins, ashtrays, earrings, playing cards, keys, fans, perfume bottles, handkerchiefs, brooches and 42 13 cigarette butts.
Love for a month and a half, two days apart, 44 times.
From breaking up to meeting again, it was 339 days.
In 2864 days and 409 weeks, Kemal went to her home 1593 times, just to see married Fusong.
Kemal spent the rest of his life trying to build this museum. 62 years old, 12 died of myocardial infarction in April. It happened to be Fu Song's 50th birthday.
I will always remember the end of this book. He kissed the photo of Fu Song and said with the joy of victory, "Let everyone know that my life is very happy."
Life can't be repeated. I hope we can all stay with the people we love for life and have no regrets when we get old.

If you call it sex (reading the Museum of Innocence)
To tell the truth, The Museum of Innocence is a novel that disappoints me. It may be that the story introduction is very attractive, coupled with the good impression left by reading Pamuk's other works in high school, which made me have high expectations before reading, but the result was not as I expected. The waist seal is called "Lolita in Bosphorus", but I think it is more appropriate to describe it as "red rose and white rose in Turkey".
The Museum of Innocence tells a story: Kemal, the son of a rich family, met Fu Song, the daughter of a poor distant relative, and fell in love with her before he got engaged to Sybil, a member of parliament from a well-connected family. After maintaining a physical relationship for nearly two months, Kemal was engaged to Sybil. After the engagement, Kemal lost Fu Song, which was extremely painful, and finally the relationship with Sybil came to an end. After that, Kemal followed Fu Song and found that after Fu Song got married, he had to keep visiting the Song Fu family and secretly collect everything related to his lover. After nine years of morbid thoughts and contact, the couple finally had a chance to be together. However, a car accident took Fu Song's life. In his lonely life, Kemal used all the things he collected about Fu Song in the past nine years to build this "Innocence Museum" belonging to them.
This story is true, and the Innocence Museum really exists, but the touching love praised by some readers is not so beautiful in my eyes.
I am disappointed with this novel because I can't bear to describe my thoughts and pain at length. In the early days, Kemal longed for Fu Song, but didn't want to leave his fiancee. In the later period, he couldn't reach Fu Song, so he had to send acacia with something. In fact, they are all in line with Kemal's own description of "the happiness of immoral people" at the engagement party:
"On the one hand, I share all the happiness and fun of my family with an educated, rational and beautiful woman. On the other hand, I maintain a secret and deep love relationship with a beautiful, charming and wild girl."
This was not a unique fantasy of Turkish men at that time. Now, all over the world, I am afraid it is still an indelible fantasy of many men. Before Kemal got engaged, at a one-on-one dinner, his father also told him the story of a young lover he had many years ago. I think that if Fu Song didn't disappear from his life in despair and quickly disappeared after Kemal's engagement party, Kemal would try to enjoy the face and honor won by his upper-class wife Sybil, live a "happy" family life, and at the same time maintain a longing and secret physical relationship with Fu Song as previously thought.
The reason why Kemal fell into endless yearning and pain after engagement is actually a common problem of people: people always deify a relationship with their own memories after losing it, but sometimes we are not as affectionate as we thought. Our sensibility never allowed us to stop things before they were screwed up, so Kemal finally left his fiancee and ran to Fusong. Is it really because of Kemal's so-called passionate love that he spent nine years on married Fusong and approached her bit by bit? If Fu Song hadn't been married at that time and had not had a "war" with him that suddenly turned cold and suddenly raised hopes, would they have had nine years? Forgive my malicious speculation about this love, but I'm sorry, I really doubt it.
When they were happy, Fu Song died in a car accident, and Kemal lived with his memory until his death. That's it, which made all readers cry and was deeply moved, but we forgot one thing. Many things seem so perfect because it stopped in the right place, which is why we have the Titanic. You can never overcome the memory lost in love. After Fusong's death, Kemal reunited with some old friends. Speaking of Mohammad and his wife Nurji Khan, it is inevitable that there will be such a sentence: "They got married because of love, but soon after having children, everything changed back to the original way." Is this really love? If you call this sex.
Of course, the disappointment of this book does not affect some of its chapters and paragraphs to set off a tender feeling in my heart.
The whole book is rarely wonderful in less than 50 pages after Fu Song's death. Kemal visited 1743 museums all over the world and decided to build an "innocent museum" on the original site of Song Fujia. I don't have much feeling about his motivation to build a museum, whether it is obsessed with memories or because of deep yearning, or other unknown reasons. As bystanders, we can't know, and sometimes even the parties themselves can't figure it out. I just think the fetish left to my lover is beautiful.
Everyone who has been with us, without exception, has left a mark on us, and the Innocence Museum just turned this mark into something. And I believe that everyone's memory is a museum, and our hearts live in the attic of that museum. I still remember dating a boy who loves history, so I got into the habit of visiting museums. After separation, I still kept this habit. When a person walks quietly in a museum, my memory of his shadow will occasionally flash back, just like I walk quietly on a certain floor of my own memory museum. In fact, nothing is needed. This is probably the best memorial left by our lover.
When I read the middle part of the book, it happened to be a long afternoon, and the fragmented narrative about love and pain made me feel extremely sleepy. So I closed the book and asked my friend sitting opposite me a question that has been lingering in my mind for the first half of reading: "Do you believe that there is true love between two people who are very different in some ways, whether it is intelligence, family or wealth?"
The friend looked up from his book and said quickly, "Don't believe it."
I don't know why, but I felt very relieved and said, "I don't believe it either." I have always felt that when two people have completely different views on life, there is no way to produce true love.
The friend added, "Maybe I don't believe in true love at all."
I said, "Maybe everyone has a different definition of true love."
True love. What is true love to me? After I can perceive the desire for love, I have thought about this question countless times. How many love poems have you written and how many lovers have you had? Maybe you can't find the answer, or maybe the answer is always changing. You just need to finish the right answer at the right time. I don't know.
Perhaps for me at this moment, true love is equal understanding, soul collision and a long talk, from late at night to dawn.
