Luquan District, alias deer hunter, is the jurisdiction of Shijiazhuang City. Located in the south-central part of Hebei Province, at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, it is adjacent to Xinhua District in the east, Lingshou County and Pingshan County in the north, Yuanshi County in the south and Jingxing County in the west.

Luquan District has a recorded history of more than 4,000 years. It was called Shiyi in the Warring States Period, and Luquan County was established in the Sui Dynasty. It was renamed Huolu County in Tang Dynasty, Zhenning County in Jin and Yuan Dynasties, and Huolu County was resumed in Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are 29 cultural relics and historic sites in the territory, including Tumen Pass, Shifang Courtyard and Tiehang Guild Hall.
