Can I get a refund if I check out early?

Whether refunds can be made for early check-out depends on the situation:

1. If the booking is made online and paid in advance, the hotel will not refund the money;

2. If you check in directly at the hotel, you only need to take your room card to the front desk of the hotel to check out in advance. The room fee will only be charged for the number of days you actually stayed in the hotel;

3. If you have participated in hotel-related promotions or have paid the full amount, you must follow the relevant procedures for staying at the hotel. Generally, the full amount cannot be refunded.

Legal basis: Article 585 of the "People's Republic of China and Civil Code"

The parties may agree that when one party breaches the contract, it shall pay a certain amount to the other party based on the circumstances of the breach. Liquidated damages can also be agreed on the calculation method for the amount of compensation for losses due to breach of contract.

If the agreed liquidated damages are lower than the losses caused, the People's Court or the arbitration institution may increase the amount according to the request of the parties; if the agreed liquidated damages are excessively higher than the losses caused, the People's Court or the arbitration institution may increase the amount according to the request of the parties. The party's request shall be appropriately reduced.

If the parties agree on liquidated damages for delayed performance, the defaulting party shall also perform its debts after paying the liquidated damages.

What are the rules for returning rental deposits
