The Historical Evolution of Songpinggou Scenic Area

In the1August 25th, 933 earthquake with magnitude 7.5, Diexi ancient city moved 40-60m to the south and sank 280-300m. All the nearby 2 1 villages were destroyed, and the peaks around the ancient city collapsed, blocking the Minjiang River, forming a strange landscape with high gorge and steep peaks in Pinghu.

On April 26th, 2007, the "Press Conference on Overall Development of Diexi Songpinggou Scenic Spot Tourism Project" hosted by Aba Prefecture People's Government and undertaken by Maoxian County People's Government and Mainland Hope Group was held in Chengdu Jiayuan Hotel, which represented the official launch of the tourism project "Tibetan and Qiang Ethnic Customs in Diexi Songpinggou Scenic Spot in China".

20 1 1, the third large-scale thanksgiving party "Sichuan is still beautiful" and "panda award's most beautiful Sichuan" award ceremony was held in Chengdu, in order to show the world the achievements of Sichuan's "post-disaster reconstruction" and dedicate it to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Party. Diesong Scenic Spot, as a candidate scenic spot, won the honor of "Top Ten Most Beautiful Scenic Spots in panda award" that night.

In 20 13, the National Quality Rating Committee of Tourist Attractions officially issued an announcement (No.10, 20 13). Songpinggou Scenic Spot in Diexi County, Mao County has reached the national AAAA level tourist scenic spot standard and has been approved as a national AAAA level tourist scenic spot.

From 20 1 1 to 20 15, Diexi Songpinggou Scenic Spot has been rated as a famous red leaf scenic spot in Sichuan for five consecutive years.
