Generally speaking, for hotels of the same size and type, the average house price is an objective sign of the hotel level.

In fact, for the rating of hotels, only star judges have corresponding qualifications. Among them, the rating of hotels below four stars (including four stars) is the responsibility of provincial and municipal star assessors, and five-star hotels (including platinum five stars) are the responsibility of national star assessors. At present, there are only more than 100 star assessors in China. Gu Huimin is one of them. She was a national star critic for seven or eight years.

The selection of national star judges must pass a rigorous examination. First of all, we must meet the qualifications of national star judges, and provincial star judges will report their recommendations to national star judges. After passing the exam, training and testing will be carried out. Finally, the list was publicized in official website and National Tourism Administration, and certificates were issued.

Of course, becoming a national star critic does not mean having an "iron rice bowl", and the national star critic will re-select him every two years.

The rating is roughly divided into six steps.

First of all, the applicant voluntarily applies to the local tourist hotel star rating agency for more than four stars (excluding four stars), and then submits the application materials to the National Star Rating Committee. Then, the star rating agency will reply whether it is accepted or not within 14 days.

After accepting the application, two star-rated judges will be sent to conduct inspection in the form of roll call inspection and unannounced visits within one month, and an inspection report will be submitted to see if it is qualified. For hotels that fail, put forward rectification opinions and arrange inspections again within one month.

Within one month after receiving the inspection report, the star judges will review the hotel application according to their opinions. After that, the hotels that have passed the audit will be publicized. Those with less than four stars will be publicized in the official website Provincial Tourism Bureau and those with more than four stars will be publicized in the National Tourism Administration. Finally, the hotel without objection after publicity was approved.
