Shaoxing prose is the cradle of national soul.

Small bridges and flowing water, white walls and tiles, I have always liked the mountains and rivers in the south of the Yangtze River, and the beautiful scenery of the water town under the wonderful pen of many literati often reminds me of the small town in the south of the Yangtze River in the far north. In the oblique wind and drizzle, a woman from the south of the Yangtze River came from the alley of the ancient town, holding a fine-flowered parasol, and pear blossoms brought rain. What kind of picture is that?

With this expectation and water town dream, I started several dream-seeking trips in Jiangnan water town. I once strolled through Su Causeway, wandered around the West Lake and felt the romantic feelings of the West Lake. I have also been to Xitang, walked through winding alleys and looked for Xitang's lost yesterday. In the city of Suzhou, I am also attracted by these wonderful garden scenery and I can't forget to return. Every scenery in the water town in the south of the Yangtze River has left me a different dream for my trip to the water town.

Travel is part of my lifelong dream. It is every traveler's wish to see all the beautiful scenery in the world. I don't like to go with the flow. With the bustling crowd, I like to experience the prosperity and scenery of this world, a mountain, a village and a scenery with my heart. In the eyes of tourists, these are just beautiful scenery, but every time I travel, I feel a lot different.

Among the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, Hangzhou West Lake is romantic and affectionate, and Xitang is like a woman in a boudoir on an embroidered floor, which is a little more gentle, sad and weak. There are too many traces of artificial production in Suzhou gardens, and Yangzhou with fireworks in March is too soft and charming, which adds more beauty to these pictures. In addition to giving unforgettable beauty enjoyment, I think these landscapes are a little superficial and have no soul I like.

A trip to Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province is my long-cherished dream. Knowing Shaoxing, a water city, was read from Mr. Lu Xun's article when I was a child. Eighteen spring and autumn daughters' red, Wu Peng's boats, ancient cities, water lanes, stone bridges and lively social dramas creaking in the water lanes and waterways were brewed. There are also "Hundred Herbs Garden" and "San Tan Yin Yue" written by Lu Xun. All these make me look forward to my dream in Shaoxing, a water town.

It was fireworks in March, and I went back to Hangzhou from Yuyao on business. There are just two days free, and the high-speed train passes through Shaoxing. How could I miss such an opportunity?

My first goal of getting off the high-speed train is, of course, the former residence of Lu Xun. I'm not here to see other scenery. It is getting late. For the convenience of the next day's activities, I stayed in a hotel called "Dream Jiangnan", because across the street is Mr. Lu Xun's former residence. Next to the hotel, there is a waterway around the city; As night falls, the stone bridges and lanterns on both sides of the waterway decorate the night of the water town with antique colors, and I also had a beautiful Jiangnan dream in this comfortable and cozy "Dream Jiangnan" hotel.

Although I got up early, Mr. Lu Xun's former residence didn't open until eight o'clock, so after breakfast, I took a cup of tea and sat in front of the window sill on the second floor of the hotel, quietly enjoying the morning in Shaoxing, a water town, without the noise of ordinary cities. The morning dream of the water town wakes up with the rising sun.

Lu Xun's former residence is divided into two parts, the middle of which is divided into two parts by an ancient slate street. Before the visit, a wall in the middle of the road attracted countless tourists to pay their respects and take photos. In bold gold letters on the wall, it reads: four characters of national backbone. I think this is the highest evaluation given by the people to Mr. Lu Xun. In that era of blood, how many people drag out an ignoble existence, and how many people betrayed their country for glory? Who can save China from suffering? Who can speak for the war-torn people? A spineless person is like a walking animal, and a spineless country can only be a prey in the eyes of the great powers. It was Mr. Lu Xun and many patriots who stood up and loudly declared that the backbone of the Chinese nation was still there.

It's a bit of a surprise to me that visiting Mr. Lu Xun's former residence is free. At present, many scenic spots, as well as cultural relics and historical sites, are surrounded by local people to sell tickets to develop the economy, but the managers of Shaoxing city have not done so. They restored Mr. Lu Xun's former residence and some ancient buildings nearby, and improved various tourist services, but they were all open to the public free of charge, so that tourists from all over the world could learn about Mr. Lu Xun's former residence through visits. To understand and identify with Mr. Lu Xun's patriotism and soul of china, and this spirit of Mr. Lu Xun is the soul of Shaoxing, a water town in the south of the Yangtze River. A city, a country, with a soul, has hope and a future.

The brand-new platform door where Lu Xun's former residence is located was built at the beginning of19th century. The former residence used to have two entrances, but the main entrance is not what it used to be. The three bungalows of the Zhou family have been demolished. Behind, there are five two-story buildings. In front of the small hall downstairs in the east, it is a place to eat and receive guests. The second half is Lu Xun's mother's room, and the first half downstairs in the west is Lu Xun's grandmother's bedroom. Xici is the room where Lu Xun was born. Lu Xun spent his childhood and adolescence here. Later, Lu Xun returned to his hometown to teach.

The Herb Garden written by Mr. Lu Xun was originally the vegetable garden of Zhou family and nearby families, in which some vegetables and fruits were planted. When he was a child, Lu Xun often played here and caught birds. Lu Xun spent the happiest childhood here. From a wealthy bureaucratic family to his later decline, Mr. Lu Xun did not sink there. Because his father was ill all the year round, he went to Japan to study medicine, hoping to cure the health of China people with his superb medical skills. However, for this reason, Mr. Lu Xun resolutely abandoned medicine and joined the army, and began to pick up a pen to heal the souls of the people in this country. "Looking at ten thousand people's fingers and bowing your head is a willing ox", which is Mr. Lu Xun's moral integrity.

From Baicaoyuan to San Tan Yin Yue, there is an ancient stone road in front of the door. Some of the scenery described in Mr. Lu Xun's book is roughly preserved as it is. The desks and chairs in the school and some household appliances of Mr. Shou Jason Wu, the teacher, are still there. There is a water lane extending in all directions in front of the library. The black awning boat, carrying guests looking for dreams from afar, swings around the ancient city of Shaoxing, not far from Shiban Street, which is what Mr. Lu Xun called Xianheng Hotel.

The layout of Xianheng Hotel is exactly the same as other small hotels in Shaoxing in the old society. In this street, there are some porcelain-colored bottles in a big counter in the shape of a curved ruler. This is a famous local carved wine, also called Daughter Red. Afraid of the smell of wine, the bottle mouth was wrapped in a small sandbag with blue cloth. There are drinking dishes in the street bar, commonly known as "wine blank", fennel beans, nuts, peanuts, dried bean curd, rotten chicken, tied meat and so on.

At that time, most of the customers who came to Xianheng Hotel to drink were "short clothes gangs" standing outside the counter. Regular customers have gone to Dexing Hotel in the west. Dexing Hotel is owned by Xie, and the business is good. Lu Xun's teacher Shou Jason Wu often goes there to drink. The only "gown guest" who came to Xianheng Hotel for a drink was a man named Meng Fuzi. He is a neighbor of the Zhou family. He is always trying, poor and drinking. This is the prototype of Kong Yiji in Lu Xun's works.

Unconsciously at noon, I walked into Xianheng Hotel and sat on a long square stool. The waiter brought the first-class Shaoxing famous wine, Huadiao wine, also called Daughter Red, with a fragrant smell, plus a small plate of fennel beans. During the break, I was a little drunk after listening to the shopkeeper tell the story of my daughter brewing red wine.

It is said that once upon a time there was a tailor in Shaoxing who wanted a son when he got married. One day, he found that his wife was pregnant. He was so happy that he rushed home excitedly, brewed several jars of wine and entertained his friends and relatives when he was ready. Unexpectedly, his wife gave birth to a daughter. At that time, people in society preferred boys to girls, and tailors were no exception. He was so angry that he buried several jars of wine under the osmanthus tree in the backyard.

As time went on, my daughter grew up and became smarter. She learned the tailor's craft very well, and also learned a good hand of embroidery, so the business of the tailor's shop is booming. The tailor saw that it was not bad to have a daughter! So I decided to marry her to my favorite apprentice and marry my daughter happily. On the wedding day, the tailor drank wine happily. Suddenly, he remembered several jars of wine buried under osmanthus trees more than ten years ago, so he dug them up and disposed of them. As a result, when the jar was opened, it was fragrant, rich in color and delicious. So everyone calls this wine "Daughter Red" wine, also called "Daughter Wine".

Later, the next-door neighbor, the near and far family, gave birth to a daughter and buried the wine. When they married their daughter, they dug wine and treated them, forming a custom. Later, even when the boy was born, he made wine and buried wine according to the rules, hoping that his son would win the first prize to celebrate drinking. So this wine is also called "Zhuangyuanhong".

Listening to this legendary wine-making story and tasting the long-brewing daughter red, it seems that I saw the scene written by Mr. Lu Xun. At sunset, Mr. Kong Yiji, who is somewhat drunk, is talking about fennel characters of fennel beans. There are several ways to write them. Then, amid the laughter of everyone, he stumbled onto the ancient slate and went home.

I'm a little drunk, too. If it is not rewarding, I really want to get drunk in the dream water town of Shaoxing ancient city. The trip to Shaoxing ancient city not only let me see the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan water town, but also gave me a spiritual understanding. This is a city with a soul, which was later called "soul of china" by Mr. Lu Xun, and this spirit and soul is not only the soul of Shaoxing, but also the spirit and soul of the whole Chinese nation.

I like Shaoxing, a water town, because it is a city with a soul, and its soul is also the cradle of our national soul.
