Because there is a ferry here, in the past, many overseas Chinese crossed the Han River by boat from here and never forgot to come here after returning home. According to legend, the site of Lindong Ancient Temple was built in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. It is said that * * has 99 buildings, which were built earlier and larger than Kaiyuan Temple in Chaozhou, and there are still some relics. In addition, there are more than 10 ancient villages with unique architectural styles in the town, most of which were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although they have been built for more than one hundred years, they are still well preserved.

Since Tiepu Town was founded in Mirror, its residents are all Han Chinese. As early as the Neolithic Age (the discovery place of the Neolithic Age was Li Gaoshan, Tiepu Shiqiutou Village), local indigenous slang people lived and worked here. During the Southern Song Dynasty, immigrants from Putian County in Fujian settled here one after another. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the tenth ancestor of Chen came here to create ancestors, and surnames such as Zhou, Lin, Li, Xie and Jiang once settled here.
