Weihai is a prefecture-level city in Shandong Province, located at the eastern end of Shandong Peninsula, bordering Liaodong Peninsula in the north, facing the Korean Peninsula across the sea in the east and Yantai in Shandong Province in the west. The maximum horizontal distance from east to west is135km, and the maximum vertical distance from north to south is 8 1 km, with a total area of 5,797 square kilometers, including 777 square kilometers in the urban area.
