Genhe photography

165438+1October 18, right? Is it extremely cold in China? A magical scene appeared on the bank in the western suburb of genhe city Haolibao Office in Inner Mongolia. A photographer photographed a rare phenomenon of rotating ice disks on the river surface in the western suburb of genhe city, Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia, in the northernmost part of China. A regular ice tray appeared on the water. This round ice tray is about 6 meters in diameter, which seems to be carved by human beings with knives and axes. It rotates with the flow of the river. After sunrise, the ice tray begins to melt slowly and disappears completely until noon. This is the second time that an ice tray appeared, because there was an ice tray with a diameter of about 2 meters on June 5, 2008 +065438+ last year.

This makes us lament the wonders of nature, because it has created countless wonders, such as ice and snow, tropical rain forests, mountains, grasslands, Gobi, rivers and streams. There are always some wonders beyond our common sense, which makes people feel that the world is full of miracles, which makes us open our eyes and marvel. But in fact, ice trays often appear abroad, and this landscape mainly appears in cold areas at high latitudes. Just like in China, which is the coldest place in China, genhe city is also known as the cold pole of China, where the lowest temperature in history is -58℃. The average annual temperature is about 5.3 degrees Celsius below zero. This domestic low temperature record has never been broken, hence the name China Lengji.

Ice trays all appear in extremely cold areas, and there is a round ice block on the frozen river in extremely cold areas, which will rotate with the water flow, but the reason for this phenomenon is not clear. I mainly agree with this conjecture. It is at the edges and corners of some rivers that the flowing river will form turbulence and vortex. When the flowing water flows through the vortex, it will be involved in a large number of broken ice floating on the river surface, and will slowly condense with the vortex, and finally condense into a round ice cube, which will continue to rotate with the vortex. However, this formation mechanism is only speculation and has not been confirmed.
