What is the panchromatic band of remote sensing?
With the continuous improvement of physical spectral resolution, the development process of optical remote sensing can be divided into: panchromatic → color photography → multispectral → hyperspectral. Note: panchromatic band, because it is a single band, what is displayed on the map is a gray-scale picture. Panchromatic remote sensing images generally have high spatial resolution, but they can't display the color of ground objects. In practice, we often fuse it with band images to obtain high resolution of panchromatic images and color information of multi-band images. Panchromatic band generally refers to multispectral remote sensing using multispectral remote sensing: a remote sensing technology that divides the electromagnetic radiation of ground objects into several narrow spectral bands and obtains different band information of the same target at the same time through photography or scanning. Principle: Different ground objects have different spectral characteristics, while the same ground object has the same spectral characteristics. The radiation energy of different ground objects in different bands is different, and the images obtained in different bands are also different. Advantages: Multi-spectral remote sensing can not only distinguish ground objects according to the differences of image morphology and structure, but also distinguish ground objects according to the differences of spectral characteristics, thus expanding the information of remote sensing. Multi-spectral photography used in aerial photography and multi-spectral scanning used in land satellites can obtain remote sensing data of different segments. Different segmented images or data can be obtained by photographic color synthesis or computer image processing, and richer images can be obtained than conventional methods, which also provides the possibility for computer to identify and classify ground object images. Hyperspectral hyperspectral remote sensing originated from multispectral remote sensing in the early 1970s. It combines imaging technology with spectral technology, and forms dozens or even hundreds of narrow bands of continuous spectral coverage for each spatial pixel while imaging the spatial characteristics of the target. The remote sensing data thus formed can be vividly described by an "image cube". Compared with the traditional remote sensing technology, the image it obtains contains rich triple information of space, radiation and spectrum. Hyperspectral remote sensing technology has become the frontier technology in the field of remote sensing. For more information, please consult Hangzhou Chromatographic Technology Co., Ltd. Product Service: Chromatographic Technology is a high-tech enterprise specializing in optical and color photoelectric detection technology. The color difference meter, spectral colorimeter, desktop spectral colorimeter and gloss meter are introduced. It has been widely used in domestic printing, coatings, auto parts, metals, household appliances, gold standard test paper, food safety, medical inspection and other industries. thank you
