Method of shooting night scenes with SLR
1, night scene effect: starry sky canopy effect
If you want to shoot the star-studded effect, the first thing to do is to find a suitable shooting scene. For the night view of the city, it is easy to photograph the light sources in Starlight Glimmer, such as the most common street lamps. You can find a suitable scene on the roadside at night.
Using the A gear of the camera, the aperture of the camera can be adjusted above F8 under the condition of ensuring the safety shutter, which is the key to the starlight shining effect (small aperture). If the light is really insufficient, we can only increase the ISO sensitivity appropriately. For digital SLR ISO in DX format, it is recommended not to exceed 1000, otherwise the image purity will be affected.
Finally, start writing. Put the point light source in the picture into the viewfinder, hold the camera (or fix the tripod) and press the shutter to get a beautiful photo of Starlight Glimmer.
2. Night scene effect: out-of-focus effect
The first step of out-of-focus effect is the same as shooting star-awn effect, that is, you need to find a suitable circular point light source in the dark. Slightly different, the point light source with out-of-focus effect had better have bright colors, so the effect is better.
The second and most important step is to switch the focus mode of the camera lens to MF or AF/MF mode, because out-of-focus is a hazy beauty effect caused by deliberately leaving the focus out of the subject, and the camera itself cannot be completed without manual focus.
Turn the lens focus ring to the longest focus end, and manually adjust the lens focus ring until you can see the favorite out-of-focus effect in the viewfinder. The choice of aperture is more arbitrary. Generally speaking, if the aperture is small, it will not only fail to produce the effect of stars gathering, but also lose focus.
3. Night scene effect: light path effect
The first thing to do in shooting light path is to fix the camera. Holding the camera can't meet the requirements of stability. So you need a stable and strong tripod (a tripod that is too light can't even protect against the wind). It is best to choose a scene where you can see traffic, such as a pedestrian bridge.
If you use a tripod, it is very important to turn off the camera anti-shake, because turning on anti-shake when it is stable enough will affect the stability of the picture and cause blur. Turning off VR is not only turning off anti-shake.
Select the m range of the camera. In order to ensure long exposure, it is no problem to choose a small aperture above F 13. Shutter mode adopts B-door or self-timer mode to prevent the body from shaking at the moment when the shutter is pressed. Then start looking at the viewfinder composition, and adjust the exposure time until the exposure column in the viewfinder indicates normal. Finally, press the shutter and don't move the camera until the shutter is closed.
After that, you can get a beautiful and dynamic luminous road map.

Skills of shooting high-quality night scenes with SLR;
One: Grasp the prime time.
Shoot the night scene when the night comes. At this time, the lights are on, the sunset glow has just faded, and the color of the sky is not black, but with a touch of rosy clouds. At this time, the nightlife of the city has begun, and the crowds are surging and very lively.
The advantage of shooting at this time is that the color of the picture is layered and gorgeous, but the night view of the city is also very appropriate and beautiful.
At this time, the sky looks completely dark to the naked eye, but because of the long exposure of the camera, you can still see some clouds and the afterglow of the sunset.
Two: tripod, cable release, low ISO.
Shooting night scenes requires good plane position and long exposure, so these two points are the most basic. With the support of these two things, there is no need to use high ISO. After all, the quality of low ISO is better.
Third: use RAW
The adjustment of RAW white balance is basically lossless, which is more obvious at night. Looking at night pictures, you will actually find one thing in common: the main color of night scenes is very obvious and accounts for a large proportion in the picture. There are many reasons, mainly two:
1, the night light is not strong enough to support everything in the world to show their color difference. ?
2. Because of the use of long-term exposure, the relatively fixed color will continue to strengthen.
For example, the color of the sky, on the other hand, because the surging crowd is moving and stays in the picture for a short time, the influence on the color is weaker than that of the sky.
Fourth, large aperture, small aperture.
A large aperture can have a fantastic Jiao Wai, while a small aperture can obtain a longer exposure time and a star-like spot. Select the aperture as needed.
