Brief introduction of Xiamen cultural center

Xiamen Cultural Center (Art Museum, Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) is a public welfare cultural institution established by the people's government. It is a place that is open to the public and provides public cultural services for the masses. It is also a classroom for lifelong education for the masses. It is a leading institution that undertakes the government's public cultural undertakings, prospers the people's cultural and artistic undertakings in our city, and undertakes the protection of intangible cultural heritage in our city.

Xiamen Cultural Center, formerly known as Xiamen Mass Art Museum, was renamed Xiamen Cultural Center with the approval of Xiamen Municipal Organizing Committee on April 30th, 2006. The renamed Xiamen Cultural Center is co-located with the Xiamen Art Museum, which was originally managed by Xiamen Federation of Literary and Art Circles (managed by Xiamen Cultural Bureau). From June 5438 to October 2007, the brand of "Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center" was added.

The new building of Xiamen Cultural Center (Art Museum and Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) is located in Xiamen Cultural and Art Center (No.95 Tiyu Road). It officially opened in March 2007. The building area is 27,563 square meters, with 3 theaters, 1 activity room for the elderly, 1 activity room for children, and 36 rehearsal halls and classrooms for music, dance, drama, folk art, art, calligraphy and photography. There are seven exhibition halls, including large-scale modern art exhibition hall, graphic art exhibition hall, boutique exhibition hall and multimedia exhibition hall, among which the large-scale modern art exhibition hall covers an area of nearly 4,000 square meters and is nearly 10 meter high, making it the largest professional art exhibition hall in China at present.
