Stereoscopic photography appreciation
An ordinary photo is free, you can look at it in any way, but stereo photo is very complicated. Is there any problem with the picture size of film or printing paper, the parallel interval between left and right photos, etc. Consider photography and viewing first, and introduce it to beginners from the simplest way of viewing. When watching color slides, the left and right pictures are arranged side by side in a 35 mm full-size frame, so you should use an observer to watch. There are two kinds of observers: Pantes and Stites. Among them, Pantes viewer and viewfinder are sold in sets. This kind of film is easily confused with half-size film, so don't send it to a franchise store. It is safest to frame it yourself.
After the film is put in the frame, you can watch it.
When watching the photos taken by the lens attached to the stereo camera, it should be noted that the left and right pictures are switched, so the viewer cannot watch from far to near, so a special viewer should be used.
When viewing a photo, if the photo is the same size as the enlarged photo, you can directly use the special viewer to view the photo. Such observers are Stitz, CUBIK (Tokyo Photography) and Pique (Donghai Industry). The slides shot in standard size can be obtained by entrusting the color reversal film of Toyo Film Processing Institute of Japan (please indicate stereoscopic photography when entrusting). You can view it directly with a special viewer. This kind of observer can use the old products made in the United States and Germany in the 1950s or the products of Longguang Company.
When fujifilm was developing in Fuji Company, only the frame material of stereoscopic slide was attached after developing (it should be declared as stereoscopic photography when developing). So you need to complete the mosaic work yourself. Correct mosaic requires skill.
Developing photos with color stereoscopic negative can be accepted by Nagoya Teavot Company. It also has a dedicated viewer, but there is no international standard product. Due to the different types of cameras used, the screen size is also different. When making slides, the picture is limited to 6×6 cm due to the distance between people's eyes. There is no uniform specification for three-dimensional sliding frames. Japanese stereo photography, Della Miyako and Masta Nagoya all have framing.
When developing the photos, Nagoya Tea Castle received the developed works with the size of 6×6 cm. To appreciate the printed photos, you can use different shapes of observers from companies such as Teafort, Japanese Stereo Photography, Dragong Light, Masta Nagoya, Tokyo Photography and Donghai Industry. The viewer of CUBIK (Tokyo Photography Company) also has a viewer of large pictures (the distance between the centers of the pictures is about 80 mm).
From the above-mentioned viewing point of view, when shooting with the existing ordinary camera, in order to facilitate viewing, we should also set our own standard size. The developed photos can be pasted on the desk paper for use. There is no standard specification in stereo photo, and there are some problems in interchangeability among enthusiasts.
Stereo photo's screening
In addition to viewers, you can also watch stereoscopic photography works by projection.
In principle, this method uses two slide projectors, with polarizers on the projection lens and stereoscopic polarized glasses when watching.
This viewing method uses four polarizers so that the left and right images will not be mixed with each other.
The distance between two slide projectors should be as close as possible. According to the shape of the slide projector, it can be placed side by side or overlapped, but be careful not to affect the heat dissipation. The frame uses the usual sliding frame.
Polarizers generally use V-shaped glasses, and the left and right lenses form an angle of 45 degrees relative to the vertical line, and the included angle between them is 90 degrees. In addition, polarized glasses with different shapes are also provided. The projection screen uses a so-called screen coated with silver. White cloth and paper screens cannot display three-dimensional images.
In actual operation, after putting on the polarizer, turn the polarizer in front of the slide lens to adjust it until the photo taken on the left side is reflected to the right eye, and the photo taken on the right side is reflected to the position where the left eye looks.
Special slide projectors of standard size are not produced, so we have to buy old products. The old product is a special equipment for stereoscopic projection, which has a polarizer.
Stitz stereo viewfinder, because the reflector can be adjusted, can be directly used for projection after adding polarizer. Only one slide projector can be used at this time. Looking at it this way, there must be some adaptation time. This method can be divided into two types: placing the left and right photos in the original left and right order (refer to color centerfold photos) and placing the left and right photos in the opposite order.
When watching with the previous method, the eyes are close to parallel, so they are limited by the distance between people's eyes. The photo is bigger than two 6×6 cm pictures, and there is no gap between them, so it can't be seen. In the latter viewing mode, because the right-hand photo is on the left and the left-hand photo is on the right, when viewing, the eyes intersect in an X-shape, that is, the so-called eye-to-eye state, so you can also watch the big screen. When using the former method, you can also use a special viewer to view photos. Using the above two methods to watch stereo photo, we should practice, so that our eyes can focus on watching photos without affecting the direction of sight.
Above, including the equipment, the photography and viewing methods in stereo photo are introduced.
Finally, the main points of photography are summarized as follows:
(1) Keep the left and right sides of the camera horizontal.
(2) The focus is not accurate, and it is not easy to produce stereoscopic impression.
(3) using a film with fine particles
(4) Objects with complex shapes are the best subjects.
(5) Photography from the perspective of ordinary people.
(6) As a close shot, the subject of photography arranges objects with different distances between the close shot and the distant shot.
(7) People and other objects are not easy to shoot naturally when they are moving, but they can shoot at rest.
(8) Look at the subject from a three-dimensional point of view. The three-dimensional objects you see with your own eyes are, of course, the three-dimensional objects after photography.
