Life of Characters in Fu Qi's Writings

Fu Qi, a famous Hong Kong actor, was originally named Fu Guoliang. Born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, 1929 in Shenyang. I study in the Woodworking Engineering Department of St. John's University in Shanghai. He was an advanced placement student with excellent academic performance, so he graduated from college at the age of twenty.

Fu Qi likes sports since he was a child. When he is studying at school, he often plays ball in the park without putting his schoolbag. His mother scolded him for forgetting to go home for dinner many times. Although Fu Qi studied engineering, he was interested in literature and music. He was also a movie fan and watched many Chinese and foreign movies. After watching "Spring of the Family" produced by Hongkong Great Wall Company, Fu Qi is eager to see the main actors in the film, such as Xia Meng, Shi Hui, Chen Juanjuan and ordinary people. So,1one night in mid-July, 952, he and a friend visited the studio of Great Wall Company. At that time, Great Wall Company was filming the costume movie "Evil Sea Flower". Coincidentally, several actors that Fu Qi wanted to see were present. He saw the actors with his own eyes and didn't leave until late at night. When Fu Qi visited the studio, Yang Anyuan and Shen, directors of Great Wall Company, discovered his acting talent and informed him to audition in the company. After receiving the notice, Fu Qi "trembled with excitement, went to a barber shop and came to the studio neatly dressed". During the audition, Fu Qi "said the prepared lines, took three shots and ran away.". After returning home, he can't sleep anymore. " To his surprise, he was really admitted. In this way, civil engineers resolutely stepped into the film circle. Fu Qi's first film after joining Great Wall Company was Honeymoon, which co-starred with Shi Hui. This film describes a newly married young couple who owe a lot of money for extravagance when they get married. When they borrowed money from relatives and friends, they were laughed at, so they decided to pay off their debts and live a simple and happy life again. When Fu Qiyingjun's honest face appeared on the screen, millions of audiences in Hong Kong, Macao and overseas took a keen interest in him. Soon, Fu Qi played a young musician in Little Dancer. In order to shoot the drums in the film, he specially invited a "drum king" to teach him to play drums. It was so hot that everyone else went swimming. Only Fu Qi was kept at home to learn art, sweating hard on the drum in swimming trunks. Usually eating or chatting with friends, his hands and feet are inseparable from the action of drumming. After more than a month, I became more and more skilled, and I could hear the rhythm of the drum when playing. Although this drumming action is only a small shot on the screen, it left a deep impression on the audience.

Many of Fu Qi's early films co-starred with Shi Hui. Besides Honeymoon and Little Dancer, there are Blue Flowers, Lovers and Lovers, Brides and Lovers, and The Dragon and the Phoenix Come Together. Because they expressed the pure and sincere love in the hearts of young people with simple and natural acting skills, the audience agreed that they were the most ideal couple on the screen. 1954, "screen lovers" really became lifelong partners.

Besides Shi Hui, Fu Qi also cooperated with Xia Meng in Green Swan Nightclub, Sweet Honey, Working Girl and Bibo Fairy Couple. Co-starred with Chen Sisi in honey trap, spring thunder and Huang Yinggu with two guns; Co-starred with Hong Chu in films such as Seeds of Love.

Characteristics of playing road

Fu Qi is an actor who has a wide range of plays and can adapt to a variety of roles. In particular, the cartoon characters he created are unique and unconventional. He doesn't exaggerate, he doesn't use small gestures to express the psychological activities of the characters, and his performance is powerful but not frivolous. During the Cultural Revolution, Fu Qi and Shi Hui, two members of the "Fighting Committee", took an active part in the "anti-British and anti-riot" activities in Hong Kong, and were arrested by the Hong Kong side and imprisoned for more than one year before being released. After the Cultural Revolution, Shi Hui retired from the film industry and held some public positions in the film industry, while Fu Qi set up a film company and cooperated with the mainland to produce such well-received films as Shaolin Temple, Shaolin Kid and North and South Shaolin. Mr. and Mrs. Fu Qi moved to Canada with their families. Their daughter Fu Mingxian also entered the entertainment circle, but now she married a rich family and gave up art and business.
