There are many maple viewing spots in China, with beautiful scenery and unique characteristics. Maple viewing places in China include Benxi Zhonghua Maple Road, Bazhong Guangwu Mountain Golden Leaf Area, Nanjing Qixia Mountain Fengdanling, Wuyuan Ancient Maple, etc.

1. Benxi, China’s Maple Leaf Road

The Ben (Benxi)-Huanren (Huanren) Highway in Benxi, Liaoning Province, is also known as China’s Maple Leaf Highway. Wunvshan was once the acropolis built on a high mountain platform in the history of the Goguryeo Dynasty. It was selected into the World Cultural Heritage List in 2004. Laotuding is the highest peak in Liaoning, with an altitude of 1,376 meters. You can drive to the top of the mountain to see maple leaves at the foot of the mountain, tall and lush pine forests in the mountain, and layers of red leaves and white birch on some peaks. Yanghu Valley is a valley with a stream and maple trees on both sides of the stream. It is also called Yanghugou Painter Village, and students have come here to sketch for many years. Dida Forest Park is a deep valley with high mountains, dense forests, shallow rivers, large drops, fast currents, and reflected red leaves. 2. Bazhong, Guangwu Mountain Golden Leaf District

In mid-October, you can go to Guangwu Mountain in Bazhong, Sichuan to see maple leaves. Guangshan is located in the north of Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province, 70 kilometers away from the county seat and about 70 kilometers away from Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province. The transportation is inconvenient, but the maple leaf scenery is amazing. Plant experts from the UK, Germany, France, Canada, New Zealand and the United States have visited here many times. They call Guangwu Mountain Scenic Area the "golden zone" and the red leaves of Guangwu Mountain "golden leaves". Germany even invested 5-8 million yuan to protect this red leaf resource. The maple leaves rejuvenate this mountain at the junction of Sichuan and Shaanxi that has been dormant for many years. In addition, this "gold leaf" is a good material for making bookmarks and gifts. The best time to photograph red leaves in Guangwu Mountain is from October 16th to November 2nd. During this period, the maple leaves here will turn red in batches, first around Guojia Mountain, Dam and Natural Gallery, then Heilonggou, then Jiujiao Mountain and Shibuya Beach, and finally Daxiaoshangou and Weijiaba Panlong Bend .

3. Nanjing, Qixia Mountain Danfengling

Qixia Mountain in Nanjing is our third stop. The ancient saying "there are cow heads in spring and rosy clouds in autumn" originated from this. At the end of October, after the first frost, the maple leaves in Qixia Mountain begin to turn red, attracting tourists. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, "Qixia Scenic Spot" was listed as one of the "Forty-Eight Scenic Spots of Jinling". In April 1983, the "Forty Scenic Spots of Jinling" were re-evaluated, and "Qixia Fengdan" was also included in it. At present, the maple plants in Qixia Mountain mainly include liquidambar, triangle maple, five-cornered maple, five-cornered maple, red maple, etc.

These vegetations are staggered throughout Qixia Mountain, among which liquidambar, triangular maple and red maple are the most abundant and can be seen everywhere throughout the mountainous area. The five-cornered maple is mainly concentrated in Fengling, and the five-cornered maple is mainly concentrated in Huashange. The seasons for these floating plants are staggered. From October to December, the entire forest in Qixia Mountain is dyed. Taixu Pavilion in Qixia Mountain, Shandong Province, is located deep in the maple forest. The surrounding pavilions and pavilions are all maple trees. It is an excellent place to watch red leaves in Qixia Mountain.

4. Wuyuan, ancient houses lined with ancient maples
