Batman Prequel 2: Is the Dark Knight that good?
I believe many people have seen the opening bank robbery. In just a few minutes, the clown's image was simply outlined: sinister, ferocious, thoughtful and professional. And the bank he planned to rob was an accomplice in helping several big gangs in Gotham to launder money. The clown's intervention made the gotham city police discover the channel of black money circulation, which further made the gangster lose his mind. They were persuaded by Liu's company in Hong Kong to transfer the funds to their names. In order to learn more about gangs, Christian Bale left Gothic City for Hongkong for the first time.
The scene in Hong Kong is not too long compared with the whole film. Chicago, as the main location of the two episodes of Batman, forms a very interesting contrast with the urban landscape of Hong Kong. Hong Kong has denser high-rise buildings, more complex urban space and more serious air pollution. However, this did not affect Batman's broad vision of standing on the top floor of the second phase of the international financial center. He jumped down from Guo Jin Phase II and rushed into Guo Jin Phase I, which was much shorter than Phase II. In the light background of Victoria Harbour, Batman started a scuffle with gunmen at Liu's company headquarters, and finally took the company's president, Mr. Liu, away under the eyes of the Hong Kong police.
Maybe you will care about another famous person-Edison Chen. Although I don't care about what happened with other actresses at all, because it is entirely his private affair, this social tragedy inevitably makes him the object of ridicule by the media and the public. When he flashed in the reception desk of the central square as part of the background, some sharp-eyed audience still smiled.
Mr. Liu was sent to Gotham City Police Station by Batman, which made several big gangs suddenly lose their foothold. They have to accept the clown they rejected earlier and fully support his plan to "kill Batman". Batman is not alone, except for Gordon, the Gotham Police Department, who appeared in the last episode, and Harvey Dent, the newly elected district attorney, who is on his side. Harvey Dent's fearless pursuit of justice makes Bruce Wayne see that Batman will retire one day, and giving up Batman status also means that he can live a quiet life with his favorite Rachel Dawes. But what upset Bruce was that Harvey and Rachel seemed to have a spark of love. Maybe Harvey Dent is the hope of Gothic City, but not Bruce.
A Batman supporter dressed as Batman was found hanging outside the gotham city police station. The clown then sent a video to the Gotham cable network, announcing to the public that if Batman didn't take off his mask, people would die every day in Gotham. In order to show contempt for Batman and the police station, clowns always reveal some clues in advance, and the whole Gothic city is in a panic. Even with adequate security measures in advance, Batman found that it seemed impossible to stop the elaborate layout of the clown. Gotham Iron Triangle should always be on guard against the spies and undercover of clowns and gangs. Even Inspector Gordon couldn't help sighing: Who can I trust? The confrontation between good and evil is staged in Gotham every day, but the initiative is in the hands of clowns.
Since Harvey Dent narrowly escaped the clown's assassination with the help of Batman, the clown has focused his attention on Harvey. He first destroyed half of Harvey Dent's face, and then inspired the dark and twisted side of his mind. Harvey dent, who became a two-faced man, became a pawn in the clown plan. Previously, many fans speculated that the two-faced man who appeared in The Dark Knight would continue to lead the villains in the sequel. But now it seems that there is no such possibility. A villain like a two-faced man who lacks actual combat experience and has no special functions was quickly taken care of by Batman. However, Batman and Gordon are most worried about the subsequent impact of the incident. Although the clown was finally defeated by Batman, his plan did not fail. Harvey Dent, the district attorney general who fought evil, became a double-faced villain above the legal system, and the hopes of Gothic City and Batman were dashed. Die like a hero or live like a demon? Batman chose the former for Harvey Dent. He took on all the double-sided crimes, only to maintain Harvey Dent's image as a just fighter in the eyes of the citizens, and only to keep the city shrouded in clouds from losing hope. Although this practice is controversial, Bruce Wayne himself knows very well that the war between good and evil will never end, and Batman is doomed to go on alone in the misunderstanding and attack of others.
Batman has appeared as a comic hero for nearly 70 years, but the stories and themes of the Dark Knight rarely face the real world. Isn't the clown played by Heath Ledger a reflection of today's terrorism? However, this kind of terrorism neither pursues regional independence nor economic interests, but subverts the social machine. It may be human nature to challenge strength, so it is the nature of clowns to create chaos. What makes people feel terrible is that he doesn't ask for anything in return, so he won't be satisfied, and nothing can stop his next plan.
There is no doubt that the clown is a clever terrorist. He knows how to control Gotham-he actively uses media tools to "interact" with the people. In "The Dark Knight", Gotham Cable TV has been receiving threatening videos from clowns, which are the last words of the hostages before they were killed and the additional comments of the clowns. Although others have not been hijacked by clowns, they have actually become part of the game. The message sent by the clown prompted them to put pressure on the Gothic city government to bring Batman to justice in exchange for peace. However, the government is well aware that once Batman is arrested, various criminal forces may make a comeback, but ordinary people may not be able to take this into account. They just want a moment's peace in this city. Maybe this is the weakness of human nature. Director Christopher Nolan is not completely pessimistic about human nature. He still expresses his hope through the following plot, making the film look less dark and desperate.
Almost all comic superheroes will face conflicts with the legal system. In other words, should this society allow "law enforcers" outside the system? At a dinner party of Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes, they also happened to discuss this issue. Harvey dent, a supporter of Batman, believes that when Enemy at the Gates is in China, people will choose someone with special talents and give them privileges to lead them to defeat the invading enemy. After the war, he will return the privilege to the people. Rachel went on to joke that the Romans chose Caesar, but unfortunately he did not give up power and became a dictator. Harvey Dent went on to say the classic line, "Die like a hero or live like a devil?" Ironically, harvey dent eventually became a key "two-faced man" like the Clown Project, blinded by his anger. This is also a warning to Batman. In fact, there is no clear boundary between heroes and demons, but the purpose and way of using privileges are different.
Although the whole movie is full of deep thinking about crime and punishment, good and evil, right and wrong-I thought, "Oh, my God! This piece is definitely worth seeing once! " -But in short, the Dark Knight is still an entertaining experience with climaxes. Perhaps because the budget has increased, the scenes shown in The Dark Knight are unprecedented. Carefully planned clowns and Batman followed us and took us almost all over the city. We won't see many new moves by Batman-except that cool bat motorcycle-but the most thrilling thing is the wits and wits between Batman and the clown. Director Christopher Nolan is best at playing with story structure. This time, he played to the extreme, and every step was unexpected and reasonable.
There is no doubt that Heath Ledger contributed one of his best performances to this film. The clown he plays reminds me of clockwork orange, interesting games and even Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. Christian Bale seems to be serious from beginning to end, and the task of enlivening the atmosphere is given to Kerr Kane and Morgan Freeman. As for the award prediction, besides Heath Ledger, there are also directors, scripts, editing, photography and movie soundtracks (awesome! ), sound effects, sound editing, makeup, visual effects, scene design and fashion design all have great opportunities to win major awards at the end of the year.
