The pinnacle of alibi: The Legend of Yukiyaksha Murder (95 Edition)

Kindaichi and Conan, the two characters who have always occupied the top spot in mystery comics, which one is stronger has been a topic of endless debate among fans.

But if we talk about idiosyncratic reasoning alone, Kindaichi must be recommended.

In the 1990s of the last century, in the Japanese reasoning world, the socialist school gradually declined, and the original school, known for its suspense and trickery, began to rise. It was against this background that the "Kindaichi Boy's Chronicle" series emerged and became the leader of original mystery comics.

In 1995, the work won the Youth Division Award at the 19th "Kodansha Comic Awards".

In the same year, the popular artist Tsuyoshi Domoto starred in the first-generation drama version of Kindaichi, which pushed it to a new peak: the average ratings exceeded 20%, reaching the annual ratings crown!

Even though 19 years have passed and four generations of "Kindaichi" have been produced after several interpretations, Tsuyoshi Domoto's version of Kindaichi is still the most classic version in the series of live-action dramas.

Douban also gave it quite high ratings, with the first season scoring 8.9 points and the second season scoring 9.2 points, which is much higher than other versions of the same series.

Today I would like to share with you the highest rated single episode, which is known as the pinnacle of Abibi, Kindaichi: The Legend of Yuki Yasha Murder Case.

The story takes place on a crew.

In remote Hokkaido, there is an ice-backed village that is very cold and covered with snow all year round.

There once was a young woman there who turned into a snow yaksha after her death in revenge for the villagers who refused to save them. Whenever there was heavy snowfall, she would come out and kill everyone in front of her...

The crew in the film came to Beibing Village because of this legend and used it as a prototype to shoot a TV series.

The legendary "Snow Yaksha" began to commit crimes repeatedly after the crew arrived.

The terrifying Yasha mask, the infiltrating legend, the continuous murders, the classic Blizzard Villa mode... Even today, it is still a plot full of gimmicks.

And as the four deceased appeared one after another, three speculations were overturned three times, and the reasoning contest between the two teams... made the subsequent development of the case even more confusing and exciting.

Before describing the case in detail, let us first introduce some of the main figures (abbreviations in brackets) closely related to the case:

Several extras

According to the order in which the murders were discovered in the film, the first deceased was The female lead of the crew, Rie.

The crew rented the villa of local local and famous painter Himuro as the filming base. Ice Room *** has two villas. In addition to the main building rented to the crew, there is also an annex for their own residence.

The main building and the annex are located next to each other, separated only by a valley. However, there is no bridge connection, so you can only take a detour, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive one way.

On the night of the incident, the tap water in the hotel was frozen and everyone could not wash up, so they drove to the annex where the owner Himuro lived. Because the heroine Rie had already gone to bed, everyone left her alone and left.

Unexpectedly, after everyone went to the annex, a man wearing a white kimono and a Yuki Yasha mask broke into Rie's room, hacked her to death, and before leaving Destroyed the camera...

The second deceased is very interesting. He was the biggest suspect in the early stage of the case, the photographer Akashi.

After Rie died, everyone returned to the crime scene, the main building.

Because the way down the mountain was blocked by an avalanche, and the wind and snow were too heavy, helicopters could not come to the rescue, thus forming a classic blizzard villa mode. Everyone can only confess to each other in this hall:

The deceased was Rie.

Although she is the heroine, she has issues with everyone on the crew.

Everyone has a motive for killing, but everyone has an alibi.

Except for photographer Akashi, assistant Mari and painter Himuro.

Akashi: Not present at the beginning.

Truth: Because I thought it was rude for everyone to peek at an actress’s sleeping face through the camera, I decided to drive back to wake up Rie and pick her up, and left midway.

Himuro: He stayed in his room all the time, and there was no proof of his presence.

Shortly after Zhenli left, a murder occurred. After the murder, everyone saw the truth on camera as Kankan drove up.

Based on the "one-way drive takes 20 minutes", it can be inferred that the truth was still on the way when the crime occurred.

Although the painter Himuro claims to have been in the room all the time, no one can prove it. But when the crime occurred, the people's frightened screams made him curious and went out to the room where the crew was staying to check, where he happened to meet Police Akechi.

Only the photographer Akashi, no one has seen him before or after the incident.

From this, the most suspicious person could only be...

However, just after it was determined that Akashi might be the murderer, his body was discovered.

The corpse was made into a snowman and stood on the snow.

The degree of stiffness lasted for at least 6 hours. In other words, Akashi died before Rie.

In other words, he is the actual first deceased.

The third deceased was sound engineer Takada.

His method of death was relatively simple and straightforward, with no suspense.

Just when bodies were discovered one after another and the murderer could not be found, Takada drove down the mountain and prepared to escape.

As a result, he met Yuki Yasha on the way and was chased to death.

The three corpses died in the same place (in Beibing Village) and by the same person, so there must be some important connection.

If you find this connection, you will find the motive for the murder, and the murderer will naturally emerge.

However, compared with this, the modus operandi of this case is the biggest highlight.

The biggest charm of Bengepai reasoning is that the audience and the detective (in the play) share information, that is, whatever clues the detective finds, the audience will also know what clues they have. The audience won’t get a god’s eye view, and the detective won’t know any better.

However, even if all the clues are laid out in front of the audience, the audience often still cannot guess the truth. It is only at the moment when the detective finally deciphers the secret that they finally realize it.

Because there were three deceased persons in this case, as well as the reasoning contest between Kenmochi Police Department and Kindaichi, both of them had many wonderful inferences about the murderer’s modus operandi.

For example, the cable car inference at the beginning of the sword-wielding police department.

There is an outdoor cable car for carrying goods.

Vehicle body marking: upper limit of weight, 30 kilograms.

Makoto Makabe, commanded by the Kenmochi Police Department, continued to increase the weight and finally concluded that the actual maximum weight limit is thirty-eight kilograms.

Therefore, he deduced that as long as the prisoner weighed less than 40 kilograms, he could use a cable car to greatly shorten the time and quickly travel between the main building and the annex.

The modus operandi he guessed was also plagiarized and used as a reference in the domestic drama "Young Man Bao Qingtian".

However, this seemingly reasonable speculation was overturned by Kindaichi who found flaws in the details.

Subsequently, the Kenchi Police Department discovered that the current Himuro was a fake Himuro. Himuro had died in a traffic accident 10 years ago, and the three deceased persons, Rie, Akashi, and Takada, were all present at the time.

So he started from the motive of the murder, suspecting that the fake Himuro had conflicts with several people due to uneven distribution of the spoils, and then started to kill the other three people.

However, when he had just made the assumption, when everyone rushed to the fake Himuro's room, they saw that the fake Himuro had committed suicide in fear of the crime and left a suicide note admitting all the crimes.

Everything seemed reasonable, but it was in this very reasonable suicide note, the secret room, and even the scissors in the hand of the deceased that Kindaichi found a flaw and discovered that the fake Himuro did not commit suicide. In fact, he was the fourth A dead person.

In the end, Kindaichi spoke a classic line -

The trivial clues that paved the way for most of the plot: the 20-minute drive that cannot be shortened, the straw in Akashi's hand when he died, Rie's death The will-o'-the-wisps that the villagers saw that night, the burnt straw and ropes under the valley...

He put them all together one by one, and finally found a path that could only be done in this place in this season, Excellent trick!

At the end of the film, the murderer still failed to complete his final revenge. Instead, he lost his only relative and knelt down crying...

In Kindaichi's story, most of the deceased deserved their punishment. , and most of the murderers have their own tragedies.

In the original comic, the accident that the deceased and the murderer experienced ten years ago was a plane crash, but in the drama version it was changed to a bus accident. Director Yuko was also added, turning her into the mastermind behind the whole incident of replacing the painter Himuro.

When the murderer wanted to take his final revenge on her, he imposed another sermon from Kindaichi.

Such changes seem to be more tragic, make the character of the murderer more fleshed out, and make the ending more positive and positive, but it also makes the plot drag on.

And the ending of the original version, "The 'blizzard' of sadness and despair raged in her heart..." This sentence echoes the beginning and the end, and is concise and clear, leaving a touch of sadness and melancholy that the readers can still recall.

There are two endings, which one is better is a matter of opinion.

But apart from this, the entire drama still restores the original work very well. Whether it is the reversal of the case reasoning or the showdown between the two groups of detectives, it is very interesting.

That year, Domoto was just 16 years old. He was still in his youth and had just debuted as an idol. He was about the same age as Kindamoto.

He gave a natural and vivid interpretation of the contrast between Kindaichi's focus and intelligence when investigating the case and his usual carelessness and sloppiness, and he was nominated for the Best Actor at the Japanese Drama Academy Awards for this.

Anyone who is interested in children’s shoes must go and see it for themselves and feel the unique charm of Tsuyoshi Domoto and Kindaichi~
