Do you know how many airlines there are in China?
There are about 30 airlines and more than 2 100 aircraft in civil aviation. Generally divided into three camps. The first camp: Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The above four major aviation groups occupy most of the aviation market in China. In terms of fleet size, China Southern Airlines has the largest fleet, followed by China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines and China International Airlines. Judging from the number of passengers transported, China Southern Airlines has the largest number, followed by Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines. In the first camp, HNA Group has the biggest variable. HNA itself is not as big as the three major state-owned airlines, but several subsidiaries of HNA Group add up to considerable (a big wave of vest strikes), including Grand China Airlines, Capital Airlines, Tianhang Airlines, Xiang Peng Airlines, Western Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines. The newly-built Fuzhou Airlines and Urumqi Airlines have set sail, Beibu Gulf Airlines has been approved, and Guilin Airlines is in preparation. Recently, it acquired a 48% stake in the second largest French airline, Blue Eagle Airlines, and established Africa World Airlines (Ghana) and Kenya Airways in Africa, as well as two small airlines in Turkey. The second camp: Shanghai Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Sichuan Airlines. The airline fleet size of this camp is generally less than 100, and Shenzhen Airlines has the largest fleet, which has exceeded 140. These large and medium-sized airlines are generally stable, with large profitability and stable and reasonable route networks, but their development speed is not fast. For example, Xiamen Airlines has been profitable for nearly 30 years, while Sichuan Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and Shandong Airlines have maintained the scale of 60-90 aircraft. The enterprises in the second camp all have the shadow of three major state-owned airlines, belonging to three major departments. For example, Shanghai Airlines and China United Airlines belong to China Eastern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines belongs to China Southern Airlines, and Xiamen Airlines also acquired Hebei Airlines and newly established Jiangxi Airlines. Shenzhen Airlines and Shandong Airlines belong to the Air China Department, and the ownership structure of Sichuan Airlines is more complicated. The third camp: Spring Airlines, Jixiang Airlines, Okay Airlines, Chengdu Airlines (Eagle United Airlines), Huaxia Airlines, etc.
