What does perspective mean?

1. The angle formed by the intersection of two light rays emitted from both ends of the object in the eyeball. The smaller or further away the object, the smaller the viewing angle.

2. The angle between the two largest points on the scene that can be captured by the photographic lens and the line connecting the lens. Short focal length lenses have a wide angle of view, while long focal length lenses have a small angle of view.

3. Refers to the perspective of observing the problem.

Extended information

In photography, the angle of view is the angular range that the camera can receive images in a general environment, which is also often called the field of view.

The angle of view is different from the imaging range (angle of coverage). It describes the image angle that the lens can capture. Generally speaking, the imaging circle of the lens is large enough to cover the film or Sensor (maybe a little edge vignetting).

If the imaging range of the lens cannot cover the entire photosensitive element, the imaging circle will be visible, usually accompanied by severe edge vignetting. In this state, the viewing angle will be limited by the imaging range.
