Author: Since Wang Wei's reform and opening up, with the development of economy, science and technology and the popularity of the Internet, product photography came into being and developed rapidly, with increasing market demand and improving product photography education. The majors offering design courses in domestic universities also put forward new requirements for product photography, especially the design students (such as industrial design and visual communication) have more and more demands for product photography in their usual homework and social practice, and the requirements are increasing day by day.

According to the needs of teachers and students in colleges and universities and the market demand, this textbook focuses on product photography creativity, expression techniques, common equipment, lighting methods and shooting skills. In addition, practical and experimental teaching links (post-production and darkroom technology) are added to this textbook, and digital cameras are basically described, which helps students to understand photography technology, make better use of existing photographic equipment, and give full play to students' subjective initiative and creativity in shooting. This textbook also talks about a chapter on micro-product photography. The so-called micro-products, in short, refer to small industrial products, involving various fields (such as jewelry, glasses, cosmetics, electronic products and so on. This textbook puts forward the concept of microphotography for the first time, explains the concept, characteristics and shooting method of microphotography in a simple way, expounds the whole shooting process of microphotography with examples, and systematically tells the microphotography.
