Lou Qingxi was born in 1930. 1952 graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University, and has been teaching in this department since then. He is now a professor at the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University. He has been engaged in the research and teaching of architectural history in China for a long time. His main works include: China Palace Architecture, Complete Works of Architectural Decoration of China, Traditional Architectural Decoration of China, Door Culture of China Architecture, Architectural Photography (a textbook for colleges and universities), and Gazing at the Collection of Architectural Photography of Lou Qingxi, etc.
