Travel is a kind of practice, and travel photography is to record every practice.
I think in everyone's youth, there has been a yearning for travel, a trip that says go. But in reality, for various reasons, this beautiful hope has become a beautiful dream every midnight.
? If you haven't set foot on that dream trip, you might as well listen to my opinion, what equipment I used in the trip and some feelings about the trip.
I am a travel blogger and a travel photographer. It can be said that travel photography takes up most of my time shooting subjects.
? However, to say that traveling photography is different from commercial shed photography and pure landscape photography, it is that traveling photography has a lot of contingency and uncertainty.
? But not all the shootings were without a clue.
For example, we all know that filming requires directors and other people to go to places they have never been to to survey the scenery, and repeatedly look for shooting angles, seats, shooting time and lighting conditions ... But it is impossible to go to a certain place to survey the scenery in advance for travel photography, so it is necessary for photographers to do a good job in travel shooting strategy (you can learn about it through the Internet or photographers who have been there before) and learn about some shooting points that may or need to be taken during this trip, as well as the best shooting time.
? I have been to many places, not only sparsely populated desert wasteland, plateau snow-capped mountains, but also bustling cities, shuttling through high-rise buildings and walking beside endless railway lines.
For travel shooting, I suggest that it is free, because if it is free, the degree of control will be higher.
? It is difficult to control the time and place if you follow the team.
? In addition, if you need to take photos or videos of people and scenery, you should know the shooting status in advance, communicate with the guests about clothing and makeup, and better fit the atmosphere of the scene.
? In the process of traveling, many interesting scenes need to be predicted by photographers. By predicting the change of light and the trajectory of people, you can wait in your mind for the pictures you want to shoot at a certain place and time in advance, and these pictures are not taken by yourself. This is the most meaningful thing. ?
Speaking of camera selection, I think the two highlights of travel photography in camera selection are portability and durability. Nikon Z system is undoubtedly much better than the original SLR system in terms of camera volume and weight.
? Travel photographers need to carry not only the camera lens, but also sports cameras, drones, microphones, batteries, laptops and other equipment. The weight reduction of each equipment will bring the feeling of easy movement on the way.
? At the same time, travel photography is not commercial shooting in the shed, and most of the time it is done outdoors. Outdoor air, sand, temperature and humidity also have much greater influence on the camera than indoor shooting.
In addition, many commercial cameras have two or more cameras to ensure smooth work. Travel photography is not only difficult, but also impossible to carry multiple cameras to ensure foolproof, so the durability and reliability of cameras are very important. ?
I use a Nikon Quan Huafu Z camera. Sometimes people ask me, you are not a Nikon fan, but also my relationship with Nikon. To tell the truth, I am really a die-hard Nikon fan. In FM2T, many years ago, I first came into contact with film SLR photography, using domestic seagull and Phoenix cameras. At that time, I was still developing film in the darkroom, and I already had the idea of buying a Nikon camera. I especially envied a friend who had a camera at that time. In addition, I also saw a classmate's father using F90X.
I clearly remember that once, I bought a 50/ 1.8D lens without a Nikon body, and then on my birthday, I accidentally received a Nikon D7000 camera from my friend as a birthday present. At this point, I officially started their chapter of using Nikon digital SLR ... and then I contacted Nikon Quan Huafu Z system, and I felt as if I had opened the door to another world. ?
As a Nikon user for many years, I think Nikon's menu UI has always been my favorite, especially Nikon Z system. The menu is simple and clear! You can easily find the required parameter adjustment. The pull rod for taking photos and videos is also a very convenient design. The two shooting modes can be switched freely, and the control, key distribution and menu design are close to the traditional Nikon SLR. Humanized design, convenient use and no strangeness. Batteries are common in mainstream Nikon Quan Huafu SLR, and also support USB charging. The touch screen is sensitive and fast, and the parameters such as white balance, aperture and shutter can be adjusted intuitively and quickly during framing, which greatly improves the work efficiency. ?
Compared with Nikon Z system and Nikon SLR system, I think the biggest improvement point is the shooting performance of video and the anti-shake of the fuselage besides the weight and bayonet.
? Sometimes, video shooting takes a bigger proportion in my work than taking pictures. In my actual shooting, Z system thinks that the camera has been upgraded to 4K image quality in the video, and the image quality of 1080P has been upgraded to 120 frames. At the same time, the continuous focusing of video has also been greatly improved. With the face recognition function and advanced anti-shake technology, the experience and success rate of shooting video are very good.
? In many cases, the travel time is very tight, so it is impossible to put the equipment in place slowly. Advanced anti-shake body is very important. In some cases, the blessing of the anti-shake body makes it possible to get an ideal picture by hand-held shooting. ?
Of course, the biggest feature of Z-bayonet system is its large caliber and short flange distance, which gives the new system unlimited possibilities. A larger aperture means that the amount of light entering can be greatly increased. The shorter flange distance means that the new bayonet can accommodate more lenses by switching, which doubles the playability of the fuselage.
? Chen Ming thinks Nicole Z? 14-30mm? f/4? S is his favorite Z-mount lens, because the two highlights of travel photography are scenery and humanity, and the focal length of 14mm is very suitable for shooting the scenery of large scenes and displaying indoor space. Because the focal length of the 30-end is close to the humanistic perspective of the 35-end, it can be handled calmly in street shooting. Although the constant aperture is f/4 instead of f/2.8, I prefer the latter, because I compare the ball head with f/2.8 aperture and the ball head without f/4 aperture. ?
I shared a shooting pain point with my friends before, that is, when using a D750 camera with a brand of ultra-wide lens, I can only use 150mm? Generous? Film filter, but also with filter holder, inconvenient to carry (once? Generous? The membrane filter was crushed on the way, and it was inconvenient to use.
? But Nicole z? 14-30mm? f/4? S only needs a circular filter to solve the problem easily! The most valuable thing is to find Nicole Z in use. 14-30mm? f/4? The distortion of the S lens is very small, and it is almost impossible to adjust, which improves the efficiency of shooting and the timeliness of sharing on social networking sites.
? Of course, for a travel photographer, one lens is often not enough. I think it's best for travel photography to be a combination of three lenses in one fuselage. ? Like what? I will use Nikon Z6 and Nico Z? 14-30mm? f/4? S, Nicole z? 24-70mm? f/4? S and Nicole Z. 50mm? f/ 1.8? S. Because it is really light, if you want high pixels, you can upgrade the fuselage to Nikon Z7. ?
Someone will ask me why I don't recommend Nicole Z? 24-70mm? f/2.8? As for S, I will only say, "Because I personally think that travel photography has to go through many places. Travel photography is lighter and more efficient than the blurred charm of large aperture. Sometimes it is necessary to install a camera and lens on the electronic stabilizer to shoot video. So Nicole z? 24-70mm? f/4? S is more portable and can be used with stabilizers. "
Of course, I am a travel photographer, and I definitely need to shoot with a large aperture during my travel, so I also configured a large aperture lens of f/ 1.8 in my travel itinerary, which is suitable for shooting some close-ups and portraits.
? If there are many photographers on business trips to shoot videos, I suggest using a Nicole Z? 20mm? f/ 1.8? S fixed focus instead of Nicole Z? 24-70mm? f/4? S, so you can use this lens directly when hanging the video. ?
Being stationed all the year round because of work? Tibet? Will you go the rest of the time? Qinghai? 、? Lijiang? 、? Dali? 、? Xinjiang? 、? Shangri-la? Wait a minute, I have been to so many places, and each place has its own characteristics, but? Tibet? This place has always made me feel that "turning over a new leaf" is not just talk, so there are so many Tibetan wedding photos in this travel book.
? I have been afraid that I have forgotten a lot of things. I hope I can record the story with light and shadow before time rusts, and then write it on paper to make the years amazing.
? Therefore, I will continue to share travel photography blockbusters from other places and themes-
