4. Background.

The background can describe the characteristics of the environment. When shooting humanistic photography themes, the background plays an important role in highlighting the main subject of the picture. When taking travel photos, you generally need to let the scenery appear in the picture to explain the shooting location and environmental characteristics. Generally, the people in the photo are the subject and the scenery is the background.

The most common way is to use shallow depth of field to blur the background, simplify the picture effect, and highlight the subject.
