Qinghai is a plateau, with a dry climate and a large temperature difference between morning and evening, so the diet tastes heavy, mainly salty and spicy. The local diet is mainly pasta. Qinghai beef and mutton is necessary, but it can't be eaten without restraint.

The drinking water in the northwest is hard and rich in minerals. If it is not suitable, you can buy mineral water to drink.

Traveling abroad, especially in Northwest China, is not always punctual for meals every day, so prepare some snacks or high-calorie foods such as chocolate. It is best to prepare some fruits, which can supplement vitamins. You must drink more water when the climate is dry.

Precautions for dressing:

The loop line mostly belongs to the plateau, with large temperature difference. You must add or subtract clothes reasonably and regularly to avoid catching a cold. It is not easy to catch a cold at the plateau, which will affect the quality of play.

Matters needing attention in accommodation of Dunhuang Great Ring Road:

Xining, Dunhuang, Zhangye and Qilian are the cities with more accommodation options. Heimahe and Dachaidan towns belong to the township level, and their infrastructure is not perfect. Hotel buildings are mostly two or three floors, so don't expect too much from the accommodation in Heimahe before coming, and be prepared. Even so, it is hard to find a room in the peak season, so you must book it in advance.

Highly preventive measures:

The average altitude in Qinghai is about 3000, and most people can adapt. On the contrary, it is an adaptation process. Some people adapt quickly, while others adapt slowly. As long as you are not too old, you are not particularly weak and have no chronic diseases (chronic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are not suitable for high altitude areas), you are fully prepared. Qinghai and Gansu link lines generally have no problems, and many slight high reflexes are caused by personal psychological reasons or poor rest. If you don't feel at ease, people who take anti-reflex drugs such as rhodiola within one or two months before coming to the plateau are advised to take Danshen dripping pills, inosine oral liquid or oral ginseng buccal tablets.

Other precautions: the climate in plateau area is dry and the temperature difference is large. It is suggested to prepare some cold medicine, headache medicine, anti-inflammatory medicine, Huo Qing powder and gastrointestinal medicine. Regarding payment, almost all hotels, restaurants and shopping in the ring can be paid by WeChat or Alipay, and only some small expenses need cash (such as buying fruit or paying for individual attractions). So there is no need to bring a lot of cash.

Attention at home: regarding driving, it is recommended to have more than two drivers in the same industry. The northwest ring road has good road conditions, few vehicles and easy fatigue driving. I suggest you drive slowly.
