June 6th in Qiannan is the plot of the activity information of June 6th in Qiannan.

I feel that there was no festival last June. In fact, it is on the fifth and sixth day of the sixth lunar month in southern Guizhou. For the local Buyi people, those days were the annual national Buyi conference. On festivals, our people always dress up and get together to sing and dance.

June 6th is a festival for Buyi people.

The Office of Qiannan People's Government issued the Notice on Holidays of National Day and Buyi and Miao Traditional Festivals, and classes in Qiannan were suspended on May 12, July 8, August 8 and August 9.

Traditional Buyi festivals (the sixth day of the sixth lunar month and the eighth day of the Gregorian calendar): July 8 (Monday) is a holiday and weekends are closed.

Festival introduction

According to legend, June 6th is an ancient festival of Buyi people. Whenever June 6th comes, young Buyi men and women will get together and hold a singing contest. Single men and women who like each other will exchange tokens. After a period of time, when the time is ripe, the man will take the token given by the woman to her house to propose marriage.

Today, "June 6th" is no longer limited to the affection between men and women. June 6th is a grand gathering of Buyi people, and it is a day for all Buyi children to get together and have a carnival.
