I want to explore the composition of the North Pole.

At that time, I had a dream-I went to the beautiful North Pole, which became my dream for many years. I gave myself a holiday this year, made an appointment with some good friends, applied for a Schengen visa at the beginning of the year, and then did my homework about the Arctic and made various preparations. Depart from Chengdu to Shanghai in early September, transfer to Oslo, Norway via Copenhagen, Denmark, and then fly to Longyearbyen, the capital of Svalbard, Norway at 78 degrees north latitude. A * * * flew four times, and the whole journey took about 80 hours. Finally, at local time 16, I boarded our scientific research ship "Spirit of the Sea" in Longyearbyen and started my expedition to the Arctic. Day 1: Boarding in Longyearbyen, sailing in the cold waters of Norway, Denmark and Iceland, landing in Svalbard and East Greenland several times, and ending in Chirieri in northern Iceland. Poseidon is a luxurious and elegant advanced polar exploration passenger ship with a gross tonnage of more than 4,000 tons, equipped with four lifeboats, with a maximum speed of 14.5 knots and an ice class of1d. This ship provides a safe and convenient means of transportation for our adventure trip. The two of us live in a guest room, with an area of about 30 square meters and complete living facilities. After boarding the ship, we conducted safety training and escape drills, and the captain held a welcome reception for us in the evening. Our first stop, Svalbard, is the territory of Norway, with a total area of 62,000 square kilometers and about 3,000 residents. Longyearbyen, the capital of the archipelago, is located in Spielbergen, the largest island in the archipelago. This is a picturesque island with a population of about 65,438+0,000. It was an important mining town in the early days and a major base for exploring the Arctic throughout the ages. On the same day, our cruise ship set off and began my arctic exploration in the Arctic Ocean. The North Pole refers to the northern end of the Earth's axis of rotation, and the North Pole refers to the area within the Arctic Circle at 66 34' north latitude. The North Pole is different from the South Pole. The North Pole is an ocean, surrounded by land. Antarctica is land, surrounded by the ocean. Although the Arctic is also a world of ice and snow, the total amount of ice and snow is only close to that of the Antarctic110, and most of them are concentrated in the continental ice sheet of Greenland. The Arctic Ocean is the smallest, shallowest and coldest ocean in the world. It is roughly centered on the Arctic Circle and located in the northernmost part of the earth. It is surrounded by Eurasia and North America, and there is a narrow Bering Strait connected with the Pacific Ocean. It is connected with the Atlantic Ocean through the Greenland Sea and many straits, with an area of only 654.38+047,500 square kilometers. The next day, the cruise ship sailed all night in the Arctic Ocean, and arrived and landed in New Olsen the next morning. This is the base of the International Arctic Research Center, with 15 countries' Arctic observation stations. In 2004, China established the Yellow River Station in the Arctic of China, which has the largest space physics observation point in the global polar scientific research. Svalbard is the territory of Norway. Why can our country set up a research station here? It turned out that 1920, Norway, Britain, the United States and other 18 countries signed the Svalbard Treaty in Paris. 1925, 33 countries, including China, the former Soviet Union and Germany, also joined the Treaty and became its allies. According to the treaty, Norway has "complete and complete sovereignty" over Svalbard, but citizens of each contracting state can freely enter and engage in legal production, business and scientific investigation activities within the scope of observing Norwegian laws. Therefore, China, as a signatory of Svalbard Treaty, has the legal basis for establishing scientific research stations in this area. We visited the Yellow River Station in the Arctic of China and took photos at the gate of the Yellow River Station. As all the expedition members went to the glacier to do polar expedition, the stationmaster Kang of the Yellow River Station received us and introduced the basic situation. Friends in the same trade jumped into the snow happily and almost jumped into the sky. When cruising at sea or landing on a rubber boat, sometimes the waves will splash on the kayak because of strong winds and waves, and we will be drenched several times. At this time, it is necessary to pay special attention to the protection of the camera. Before landing in the polar regions, all clothes should be disinfected and dusted, including cameras, backpacks, clothes, shoes, etc. Do not bring any species that do not belong to the polar regions to the Arctic continent. Similarly, every time you return to the ship, you should wash the gravel off your boots to avoid bringing Arctic species to places where they don't belong and destroying the balance of the biological chain. During the whole trip, in addition to watching the scenery and shooting, the study and life on the cruise ship are quite rich. Professor Gao, a famous domestic scientist, gave a popular science lecture with experts in geology, biology, history and birds on board, which made us gain a lot of knowledge. Every night, we should summarize the exploration activities of the day and predict the basic arrangements for the next day. On the third day, I cruised in the Arctic Ocean ice area today. In the morning, I boarded an island called Low Island by rubber boat and saw wild walrus. They are lying on a piece of ice in droves, enjoying life lazily and dismissing our visit. This is one of the most exciting moments of my trip. Several walruses will suddenly appear on the sea, showing their long teeth and looking at us. Sometimes they get so close that we are all a little scared, and we can even see the water drops on their red eyes and beards clearly. For the sake of safety and animal protection, we should not get too close to these marine animals. We should keep a considerable distance to observe and photograph them so as not to disturb them. In the afternoon, take a rubber boat to swim in the sea ice area, take turns to board a piece of Arctic sea ice of about 200 square meters, enjoy the "treatment" of polar bears and seals on the floating ice at sea, and take photos as a souvenir. It is said that less than 5000 people have boarded the Arctic sea ice. During the voyage, I saw and photographed a long-bearded seal resting on an ice floe. This kind of seal is so precious that it is even harder to see than a polar bear. Unfortunately, it's too far away, and only a beautiful image can be taken with a 300 mm telephoto lens. When our rubber boat approached it slowly, it fell into the water like snow. After the cruise, the expedition organized a diving and ice swimming activity in the Arctic Ocean. At that time, the outdoor temperature was 0 degrees and the seawater temperature was 0.5 degrees. The blue-black sea looked deep, 17 people jumped off the boat. According to a friend who has been diving, when I first jumped into the water, I felt tens of thousands of steel needles stabbing my skin. It was sheer perseverance that supported me to swim more than ten meters in the sea. After boarding the boat, I was weak and weak all over, and I soaked in hot water for a long time before I recovered. The captain gave them certificates, calling them "heroes who have lost their basic judgment and reason." But I dare not be this hero and become a "bear" who came to the North Pole. However, I also recorded their wonderful feats for my friends. Source: investment and financial management
